User choice: lcd monitors

Computers in the life of the current inhabitant are an integral part of it. For today the greatest preference among computer monitors has received LCD-monitors. These modern modifications have many advantages over their predecessors. They also differ from each other.

As a rule, consumers who decide to make any purchase, try to get the most possible benefit. As for monitors, here, first of all, many customers are interested in what monitor is best for the eyes, as many are aware of the probable problems caused by spending a lot of time at the computer. Undoubtedly, LCD monitors are much better in this category than those based on the cathode-ray tube. Due to the peculiarities of the structure, liquid crystal screens do not create any radiation at all. The only thing that can negatively affect the eyes of the consumer is the flickering, sometimes created when adjusting the brightness. But this effect can be avoided by changing this parameter not in the monitor settings, but in the settings of the video card. In CRT monitors, flicker depends on a characteristic like the refresh rate of the monitor screen, and you can avoid negative effects only if you purchase an expensive option. Of course, today this is not the best way out. It's easier to purchase a LCD display.

First of all, when choosing LCD monitors, you should pay attention to the type of matrix, on which not only the price depends, but also other characteristics, such as the viewing angle, contrast, color rendition, brightness, response time, etc.,

Probably, the only parameter by which LCD monitors are inferior to CRTs is the viewing angle. This was due to some features of the technology implementation. Almost all LCD panels, when viewed at a large angle, will distort the image. But manufacturers are actively working to eliminate this shortcoming, and it is possible that in the near future there will appear almost impeccable models.

One of the most important parameters for liquid crystal displays is the response time of the crystals. The average is below 30 milliseconds. A longer time may be the result of a noticeable delay in the rapid alternation of images and frames.

Modern manufacturers divide LCD-monitors depending on the type of matrices on TN, IPS and * VA (Vertical Alignment). The first category of monitors is the most pleasant value. This type of matrix is characterized by a relatively low energy consumption and crystal response time. The disadvantages are inaccurate color rendition, a small viewing angle and a sufficiently low contrast. Among other things, dead spots, as a rule, remain constantly burning. The IPS family can be noted for the best color rendering index, as well as a fairly large viewing angle. The response time parameter is higher than the previous type of matrices, and the contrast is less than that of * VA. A significant advantage is that with pixel errors, the pixels become dark. The last type of matrix has excellent color rendition at rather high contrast. All modifications of this family were created by different manufacturers to improve the characteristics, but the original does not differ much.

Choosing a particular type of matrix, should be based on its further use. If you have to work mostly with office programs, then the main selection criteria will be price and appearance, since the remaining characteristics in this case are not principal. In this case, you should pay attention to the monitors from Acer (Acer P196HQVb, Acer P226HQbd, Acer A191HQLb) and Samsung (Samsung S19A100N, Samsung B1930N, Samsung S20A300N). To use the monitor in the publishing industry, where the color is the most important moment, it is recommended to choose monitors with the IPS matrix technology , for example, (Asus VS209N, LG IPS225T, HP ZR2240w). For a home computer, the most suitable is a monitor with the type of matrix * VA (Samsung F2080, NEC EA191M), because, in fact, it is universal, meets the requirements, both for game lovers and for those who prefer viewing photos and videos.
