Animals have always been an integral part of our lives. Throughout history, they have been helping people in every possible way. Unfortunately, not all animals are treated with love and respect. Abuse of these cute creatures is still one of the biggest problems that needs to be addressed. Fortunately, there are countries like India and Thailand, where animals are traditionally considered sacred. In Hinduism, for example, they are a key element of every religious ceremony. Festival in Nepal, glorifying dogs

In Nepal, there is a free dog festival that helps them become our best friends. On this day hundreds of dogs are showered with love and attention. It's not just about domestic and well-groomed animals, but also about the homeless. All of them wear beautiful collars, put "ticks" (a mark on the forehead) and give tons of delicious treats. Thus, people try to express their appreciation to the animals for their loyalty.

Elephant Festival in India

The elephant festival is an annual event that is constantly organized according to the Indian calendar, and this event should occur in a special period of the full moon (Falgun Purnima). The festival coincides with another Indian celebration called Holi, which is celebrated throughout the country. People turn big cities into a riot of color, fun and joy.

Elephants have always played an important role in Indian culture and society. These huge animals are part of many religious ceremonies, even weddings. This kind of festival offers an excellent opportunity to see these majestic animals in all their beauty when they go out to the parade. Their bodies are decorated with traditional Indian motifs, velvet, gold embroidered carpets decorate their backs. The whole idea of the festival is to mark the end of rivalry between elephants and people.

Monkey Festival in Thailand

This wonderful holiday is held annually in Lopburi, Thailand, in the monkey temple of Prang Sam Yot. These merry creatures are drowning in abundance of food, which is scattered almost throughout the city. In this way, people try to thank the monkeys for attracting tourists to their city. Annually the city spends a lot of money on fruits, vegetables and carbonated drinks, and it's all just to please funny creatures. You really can be a witness of how a monkey drinks a cola directly from a can. Nevertheless, there are opponents of all this. They are unhappy with the fact that they feed monkeys on that day with unsuitable products for them.

Camel Fair in Pushkar in Rajasthan, India

In November the city of Pushkar comes to life, because here for five days there is an animal trade fair. Hundreds of farmers bring their best cattle, camels in particular. When the trade is over and the best breeds are sold, real fun will begin. Camels are well washed and cleaned, beautifully dressed for a party. On the parade of camels choose the most well-groomed and beautifully dressed, and his master wins a prize.
