In the late 60-ies near the village of Borovskiy in the Tyumen region was created a children's railway. Its creator was Nikolai Georgievich Glotov, who worked at the Sverdlovsk Railway. After leaving the post of chief in connection with the change in health, he began to implement an interesting project - a railway branch where children work. From the very beginning, all the professional duties here were performed by teenagers. For them, branded clothes were made. The cashier, the conductor and even the workers and machinists - all the posts here are carried out by the children! Surprisingly, diesel locomotives on this road are absolutely real. At first, locomotives TU2 were used here. Later - TU2-142, TU2-143.

In June 1988, a children's railway was established in the Crimea, and one of the locomotives was transferred to this new transport facility. Unfortunately, in Evpatoria the railway, where children could try themselves as professional workers, did not last long - its history ended in the early 1990s. Tyumen children's road in 1996 also ceased work, but complete liquidation did not happen, and its functioning was restored. In July 2009, this season opened the 40th season. By this time the children's railway was modernized. The safety of traffic was increased. The way, the station building and cars were repaired at the expense of the Tyumen branch of the Sverdlovsk Railway.
