Drozdova Natalia Stepanovna - former artistic director of the theater "Wheel" in Togliatti. He was the first professional drama theater in the city. Today his repertoire includes both adult productions and children's ones.

About the theater

The Koleso Theater was opened in 1988. Its creator was Gleb Drozdov. It was an experimental theater - the troupe was recruited on a contract basis. Gleb gathered students and like-minded people into his theater. His wife - Natalia Drozdova, became one of the leading actresses of "Wheels".

The troupe received its building in a very short time - two months after its foundation. The first secretary of the City Party Committee was a great fan of art and contributed with all his might to creating the first professional theater in the city. In the early years of its existence, the "Wheel" included only classical works in its repertoire.

Until his death, Gleb Borisovich was the permanent leader of his offspring. In 2000, he passed away, which was a huge loss for the team. After the place of her husband took Natalia Drozdova. She headed the theater until 2012. As a result of the conflict with the mayor's office, Natalia Stepanovna had to leave the Wheel.

Today the theater is headed by Vladimir Gennadievich Khrushchev.

Theater "Wheel" implements several interesting projects for its viewers.

"World of behind the scenes" is an excursion for children aged 7 to 14 years. Here, boys and girls can get acquainted with what is happening on the other side of the stage and with the process of preparing the performances.

Another project "Wheels" - a literary lounge "Theater Wednesday". Here there is a dialogue of spectators and everyone who participates in creation of performances. N. Drozdova

Actress Drozdova Natalia was born in the Karelo-Finnish SSR. In 1975 she graduated from the Voronezh Institute of Arts. After that Natalia worked in this city for nine years as an actress of the A. Koltsov Theater. From 1984 to 1988 she served in the Yaroslavl Drama named after FG Volkov. In 1988 she became an actress of the theater "Wheel" in the city of Togliatti. In 1999, the actress was awarded the title of "People's Artist of Russia."

In 2011, she was appointed director of the theater "Wheel". A year later Natalia Drozdova was dismissed because of a conflict with the mayor of the city.
