A bright representative of the family of bacteriophages - the preparation "Pyobakteriofag complex" - is a transparent liquid of various shades of yellow color.

The pharmacological action of the preparation "Piobacteriophage complex" is described as follows: it is able to specifically lyse streptococci (including enterococci), staphylococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, Proteus.

Indications for the use of this drug are:

- inflammatory pathology of ENT organs, lungs and respiratory tract (otitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, sore throats, tracheitis, laryngitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, pleurisy);

- Various surgical infections (mastitis, infected burns, purulent wounds, phlegmon, abscesses, hydradenitis, carbuncles, paraproctitis, panaritium, osteomyelitis, bursitis);

- urogenital infections (cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis);

- infections of the digestive tract (gastroenterocolitis, cholecystitis, intestinal dysbiosis);

- inflammatory-purulent pathologies in newborns and infants (pyoderma, omphalitis, conjunctivitis, sepsis);

Generalized forms of septic diseases.

For the purpose of prevention, the preparation "Piobacteriophage complex" recommends using it for treatment of both freshly infected and postoperative wounds, as well as for epidemiological indications - when nosocomial infections occur .

Contraindications for the appointment of this drug is only increased sensitivity to its individual components. The preparation "Piobakteriofag complex" instruction for its use recommends taking internally. With enterocolitis, intestinal dysbacteriosis, the drug is recommended for administration three times a day, one hour before a meal, to adult patients - thirty milliliters.

The medicine "Piobacteriophage" for children who are not yet eight years old is prescribed in such doses: up to six months - five milliliters per session; From six months to one year - ten milliliters; From one year to three years - fifteen milliliters; From three to eight years - twenty milliliters.

Rectally, this medicine is taken once a day in an enema, combining this method with an internal two-fold reception. The drug "Piobakteriofag complex liquid" in this way is administered to children up to six months of age: for one reception - ten milliliters; From six months to one year - twenty milliliters; From one year to three years - thirty milliliters; From three to eight years - forty milliliters; From eight years and older - fifty milliliters.

For the treatment of suppurative inflammations occurring with localized lesions, the drug is applied topically for seven to twenty days. If before the treatment with "Piobacteriophage complex", chemical antiseptics were applied to the wound surface, the wound should be washed with sterile saline solution of sodium chloride.

Treatment of purulent wounds with the preparation "Piobakteriofag complex" recommends using the application for its use in the form of applications, irrigation, bandaging, and introduction by means of drainage at least once a day. After the opening and removal of pus from the abscess, the drug should be administered in a smaller volume than the contents from its cavity were removed. You need to administer the medicine every day once - from twenty to two hundred milliliters.

When osteomyelitis through the drainage or turunda, the wound cavity should be administered from ten to twenty milliliters of this medication.

In the treatment of such restricted cavities, as articular, pleural and others, the "Piobacteriophage complex" is introduced in a volume of up to one hundred milliliters.
