Personal Tragedy

And it happened after Konstantin Khabensky experienced a personal grief - his wife died of oncology, which shortly before the development of the disease gave birth to a child.

The actor did his best to help his wife get out: he defined it in expensive clinics, spending all his fees on treatment. He sold the housing, climbed into the debt hole and all this in order to save his wife. However, even treatment at the Los Angeles Medical Center did not help fight cancer, and in 2008, Anastasia Khabenskaya passed away ... Today, the actor lives in an ordinary apartment and almost all his earnings are donated to charity.

How did it all start?

Once Kostantin was called from a medical center that specializes in treating people with leukemia. A woman at the other end of the wire begged to help her grief: the son was missing two hundred thousand rubles for the operation. The actor's phone was given to her by doctors. And Khabensky immediately responded to the mountain and brought the missing amount. The boy was operated on time.

After this incident, the actor continued to engage in charitable activities: from the phone calls, the phone is simply heated. Noteworthy is the fact that Konstantin not only gives money for treatment, but also negotiates with doctors to receive patients from the remotest regions of our country. Creation of charity structure

In 2008, the actor decides to create the Konstantin Khabensky Foundation. Initially, his staff consisted of two people: directly the founder and his assistant. The actor had a hard time: he constantly thought about how to solve the financial issue, went to receptions to officials, knocked on the doctors' offices ... The Konstantin Khabensky Foundation at the beginning of its activity provided targeted assistance, and its organizer did not advertise its activities. Only after some time the actor decided to present his project to the general public.

The debut action of Khabensky's offspring took place in the capital's Gorky Park on the day of the celebration of the Maslennitsa. The actor called his friends with the children to go skating in the park. There were more than enough people: Constantine was supported by his colleagues in the shop: Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Chulpan Khamatova, Alexei Kravchenko.

And the famous figure skater Irina Slutskaya willingly agreed to teach all comers, including Khabensky, several lessons. In general, all with great pleasure had fun and received a big charge of positive. This holiday was remembered by all guests. The charity event brought her organizer more than 600 thousand rubles.

These funds were transferred to the charitable foundation of Konstantin Khabensky for the treatment of patients with oncology.

Who is funding the fund?

Over the years of its existence, the abovementioned organization has saved the lives of not one dozen children. Most of the investment in the Fund for Assistance to Constantine Khabensky, which is 16 million rubles, was made by the actor himself, as well as his stage colleagues, friends and private companies.

The founder of the charitable organization stressed that in the future the amount of monetary assets will increase, but for this he needs to move to another level in the work, and he is practically ready for it.

This he once told journalists at a press conference, which was organized in one of Moscow's cinemas.

How is money distributed?

Khabensky Konstantin Yurievich, whose charity fund helps children who are sick with oncology, provides material support to some medical institutions that specialize in the diagnosis of cancer and the treatment of ailments of the brain.

Funds for patients are not transferred to their personal deposit, but are addressed directly to the institution where they receive medical care. In some cases, financial assets are allocated for the treatment of children abroad.

Unfortunately, parents do not always turn in time to the charitable foundation, so not everyone can help.
