The composition of Hercules and his exploits

The work about Hercules should include a brief content of his life and all the feats that he accomplished for the sake of gaining freedom. It was this demigod who was awarded, after death, a place among the pantheon of the gods on Olympus. His life was not easy, but he managed to overcome all obstacles and become famous all over the world.

Birth and Start of Service

Every work about Hercules should start from a small age. Since he was the son of Zeus from Alcmene, the wife of the thunderer Hera hated this baby. All her life she dreamed of driving him away and trying in every possible way to destroy a strong guy. Even in his childhood he strangled two snakes that were sent by the goddess. In his teens he lived in Boeotian Thebes. He helped liberate this city from its neighbors, and for this King Creon gave his daughter Megaru for him. They lived happily for a while until Hera sent a curse to Hercules. Obsessed with insanity, he killed his children and his wife. When the turbidity passed, the morally defeated hero went to the Delphic oracle. From there the prophetess directed her to King Eurystheus. It is he who must appoint twelve feats, which will be the atonement of the hero.

The first heroic deeds

The first feat, which tells about every work about Hercules, is the murder of the Nemean lion. The thick skin of this beast did not miss the damage, so the demigod stunned him near and strangled him with his bare hands.

The second task from the king was the battle with the Lernea hydra. This monster had nine heads and a torso of a dragon. When the hero chopped off one of them, two new ones grew up. The situation was rescued by assistant Iolaus, who started cauterizing the places where there used to be heads. The work about Hercules tells that in the bile of a monster the demigod moistened arrows and they became incredibly poisonous.

The third task of the man was the battle with Stymphalian birds. They killed people with strong claws and bronze feathers. In this case, he was helped by the goddess Athena, who gave the device in order to scare them. The hero shot a part of the bow, and the rest fled for good from Greece.

The fourth feat was associated with the Kerinean dew - an incredibly fast animal of Artemis, which ruined the fields for ordinary people in Arcadia. For a year the hero chased after her until he was wounded in the leg, after which he brought Eurystheus.

Next assignments

The fifth feat with the Erimanf boar began sadly, and every work about Hercules will tell about it. Characteristics of the hero speaks of his rampant and frequent inability to control anger. This is how he, by chance, chased the centaurs and killed the wise mentor of Chiron's heroes, as the adversaries disappeared into his cave. With anger, he drove a boar into deep snow, where he bound it and carried it to the palace of Eurystheus.

About the sixth feat should tell every short work about Hercules. In it, a man with the help of wit and water from the nearest rivers managed to clear the barnyard of Avgia, which included large herds of bulls.

The seventh task was the capture of the Cretan bull, which was to be a sacrifice to the god Poseidon from King Minos. He decided to cheat and sacrificed another animal. The Lord of the water became angry and sent rabies to the bull. Hercules caught him and rode him to Mycenae.

The eighth feat was the theft of magnificent horses from the palace of Diomedes. The hero not only did this, but also triumphed over the king himself, who rushed to return the treasure.

The last four exploits

The work about the exploits of Hercules should include the ninth mission connected with the belt of the queen of the Amazons of Hippolytus. The daughter of Eurystheus Admet wanted this thing, and the hero went to the shores of the Black Sea, where they lived. There the battle broke out, and in it the demigod slain seven strong warriors. Ippolita gave her belt so that he would release Melanippe from the captivity.

The tenth feat involved stealing magic cows from the giant Geryon. Helped to get there and escape back to the hero Helios helped God by giving his chariot. Along the way, he fought with the guard and the monster himself.

On the penultimate mission, Hercules made his way to the underworld and, by the permission of God, Hades tamed the very dog Cerberus. He brought with him this wild guard the gates of the underworld to Mycenae, and then returned it.

The last feat was the way to the edge of the world to Atlanta, which held the heavens on its shoulders. The hero extracted an apple from the garden of this titan, while fighting with the giant Antaeus, holding the sky for a while on his shoulders and deceiving the cunning enemy.
