Today the company grows several breeds of pigs. In 2014, the herd population was more than 88 thousand animals. The increase in the number exceeded the figures of the previous years and amounted to 379 pigs.

Use of new technologies

In 2007, the equipment for liquid feeding of pigs equipped with automatic feeding was put into operation. This allowed to significantly reduce the consumption of mixed fodders. In addition, the cost of keeping animals was reduced. The reconstruction and installation of cellular equipment for growing piglets has been carried out.

Modern designs of German manufacture were used. Thanks to the innovation, piglets grow in pens with crevice plastic floors, so the quantity of drains decreases.

Svinokompleks Usolsky strives to maintain the production of final products, so special attention is paid to equipping the meat processing workshops. Each year, about 300 million rubles are allocated for the introduction of new technologies and the improvement of the technological processes used. Financing is carried out at the expense of the company's own funds.

Improvement of breeding herd performance

For many years the breeding farm has been successfully working at the enterprise. It breeds a large white breed of pigs. In 2009-2010, it was decided to update the stock of the herd. The company "France Hybrid" purchased elite breeding youngsters to improve the quality of meat (reducing the content of bacon on carcasses) and productivity indicators of livestock. A total of 670 pigs were transported to Siberia. Foreign partners gave detailed recommendations on the care of animals.

System-forming shops of the enterprise

All the buildings of the pig-breeding complex are equipped with ventilation shafts. Part of the air purification system is switched to automatic mode of operation. The enterprise actively diversifies its production. Not so long ago a shop for the production of mixed fodder was opened. For the past five years, the food of pigs has been fully domestic. Raw materials for the production of feed (barley, peas and wheat) are purchased from trusted suppliers of Eastern Siberia. It corresponds to high quality indicators and passes veterinary and quarantine certification.

Three years ago, the company installed equipment for grain storage. A new warehouse for grain-seeding with a volume of 6 thousand tons was built on the territory. The modern technologies used in production exclude the possibility of self-heating of grain during storage.

Feeding shops

The company has several fattening shops. In this case, the pigsties are divided into separate boxes, used with a certain periodicity. The schedule for filling living compartments for pigs is determined by a specially developed plan.

Equipment

Highly qualified personnel work on foreign-made equipment. On the newest conveyor line, more than 500 pigs can be slaughtered every day.

In the shop there are two veterinarians who check the documentation, inspect the carcasses and give an opinion about the meat's suitability for implementation. One of them is an employee of the company, and the second is invited from the state veterinary service. Meat is processed right there at the enterprise in a sausage shop. Production is completed by three machines for the production of meat mass. Specialists observe all sanitary standards for the food industry and make a passport with each mince mix. Delicacies are made on an injector, this equipment does not have foreign analogues. Svinokompleks Usolsky can produce finished products for the consumer. Within the framework of production control, each variety from the assortment list is tested in the laboratory for compliance with the claimed composition and manufacturing technology. In this shop produce over 100 items of meat products.

Sales volumes and product quality

The enterprise sells over 50 tons of finished products daily. Only 10% goes to shopping centers, the rest is sold through an extensive network of branded stores. More than 20 outlets have been opened in the region. The Usolsky pig-farm is located in all major cities of the region (Irkutsk, Usolye-Siberian, Angarsk, Cheremkhov and Shelekhov).

Before the sale, the meat is cooled for 12 hours. In refrigerators, maintain a constant temperature from 0 to +4 degrees. Animal carcasses are in a suspended state, which excludes contact with the floor and walls of the room.

The greatest popularity in the region was smoked and sausages, and demand for semi-finished products is also growing. One of the main competitive advantages on the market is the use of fresh cooled raw materials (pork is used, the price of which is quite low) for the manufacture of products. Daily in the sausage shop of the enterprise produce more than 35 tons of meat products from chilled pork. Pork chops, semi-finished products, cutlets, various sausages and fresh pork, the price of which is quite affordable, are practically in great demand in the cities of the Irkutsk region.

Soya fillers are not used in the recipe, but beef is added to some sausages. Meat of cows is purchased from the inhabitants of the region, with the obligatory condition of the purchase being the availability of a veterinary certificate from the seller. Spices for delicacies are supplied by European producers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The sausage shell is purchased directly from the Moscow manufacturers, as well as in the Leningrad and Sverdlovsk regions.

Personnel policy of the pig complex

At the agricultural enterprise they achieved high rates of labor productivity of workers. For one employee of a food industry enterprise, there are more than 20 tons of processed meat products. In the state of the company, according to 2014, 962 people work. All specialists have the necessary experience and knowledge. The average age of the work collective is 39 years.

Threats to the enterprise

SKPPK "Usolsky svinokompleks" does not work in isolation and feels all the changes taking place in the industry. Regularly, company management has to face external threats that can significantly affect the activities of the cooperative.

• Infectious diseases of pigs. At the enterprise, all available measures are taken to prevent the infection of livestock. But methods of prevention have not been developed for a number of diseases. For example, with the infection of pigs with African plague, it is necessary to completely eliminate the livestock. For a more effective herd protection, a special state program is needed.
• The general rise in price of goods and services. The production of pork and the cost of production are strongly influenced by changes in the cost of resources: rising prices for domestic cereals in periods of crop failure, increasing tariffs for electricity, increasing the cost of transportation (including rail transport), etc.

These are not the only threats for the pig industry. Russia's accession to the WTO and economic sanctions leave its imprint on the work of the food industry. Experts hope that most of the problems that arise can be solved with the help of state intervention.
