Sources of inspiration or where the muse comes from

How to draw inspiration? Probably, from time to time you have to hear (or ask) this, in fact, a rhetorical question.

Why did I dare to call him that? Simply because, as it seems to me, there is not and can not be an unambiguous answer to it. We, of course, are able to define the very word "inspiration", and a little later in the article I will certainly do it, but listing the sources - the occupation is quite absurd. It seems to me that if every person is unique, then this automatically means that absolutely different things can "ignite" and enthrall him.

1. Sources of inspiration or What is a muse

Under the inspiration we understand the inherent state of the soul, which is characterized by: the highest emotional uplift, a surge of energy and strength, and, importantly, high creative productivity.

If you ask an inspired person to describe their emotions, you can get approximately the following answer: "This is a flow. Stormy and impetuous. He carries you so quickly that all sense of time and space is lost. It becomes very difficult to determine your place in this world, and to predict the future is completely unrealistic. "

2. Sources of inspiration and their most likely signs

  • Such a person, as a rule, becomes very charismatic. He acquires the ability to influence others around him, dragging them along with him.
  • There are unexpected insights and enlightenment.
  • Thoughts become clear, full and bright, and emotional experiences start to amaze with the sharpness and depth.
  • Such habitual processes as perception, memory and thinking, suddenly begin to flow at an incredible rate. Creative people, losing sleep and appetite, are taken for work with special zeal and can not stop until they finish their masterpiece.

3. Sources of inspiration and their possible options

If you go into the history of the matter, you can find out that once in ancient Greece, locals considered a fine work of art not a result of the human thought activity, but a gift from above. The muzes, the daughters of the ancient Greek gods Zeus and Mnemosyne, descended to Earth and inspired the creation of these masterpieces.

The time has passed and it was the muses that began to call specific women who, possessing a special appearance, charisma or character traits, were able to provoke their men to any, including creative, feats.

What sources of inspiration can be found in the modern world? I dare offer my own list:

  • Beloved or close in spirit person: lover or lover. Friend, relative, child, casual acquaintance. By the way, psychologists advise those who suffer from the lack of internal forces, try to communicate more often with someone from others.
  • Love. It is this feeling, as we know, that can stir up the heart, cause a huge burst of life energy, to ascend to the heights of bliss. Although, oddly enough, sometimes love can cause and absolutely the opposite effect. The interests of a person subject to passion are narrowed so much that all desires are reduced to kissing, embracing and talking with the lover or about him.
  • The world. Nature with its stunningly bright and clear colors, presented to us in the most incredible combinations, is capable of simultaneously calming and tonifying. It is the source of not only energy, but also ideas for creativity.
  • Hobbies: favorite movie, book, music. In the period of prolonged depression, it is not at all superfluous to visit an exhibition, a museum, an art gallery or, say, the nearest book store.
  • ... Suffering. Are they surprised? And in fact it is often the strongest emotional upheavals and experiences that are the impetus and reason for writing poems, songs or music.

4. My source of inspiration

Being a creative and very addicted person, I just can not help feeling strong emotions and experiences. Anything can inspire me: an enthusiastic story of a friend, a walk, a morning cup of invigorating coffee, cooked by a loved one, a walk through a deserted autumn park, snowflakes slowly descending to the smooth and smooth surface of the sea, guitar, stars.

Probably, I tend to draw my life force from all possible sources at the same time. From the monotony, I just fall into a long depression, from which I subsequently leave for a long time and painfully. Therefore, as soon as I begin to feel the first timid signs of an upset melancholy or despondency, I call a close person in spirit, and we set out to meet new adventures and travel. I am inspired by a measured Paris and rainy London, although I'm not averse to a walk, embracing, along the beloved paths of the local park.
