Sony Ericsson K750i is not just a phone

Sony Ericsson K750i is one of the best selling phones in Russia, which can be bought to this day. Even before the appearance on the shelves of suppliers, it massively promoted by all possible advertising routes. The flagship, the best value for money, great functionality - it's just a part of its merits, which was generously used in advertising.

The phone appeared in 2005 and, according to Western sources, has become one of the best options for its time. The release of this device allowed the recently emerged elite company to take its place in the market. Sometimes in the press there were notes: the quality of communication "Ericsson" and the camera from "Sony". In fairness, it's worth noting that it was not far from the truth.

Sony Ericsson K750i - was the first device for that year, having a 2 megapixel camera, with autofocus capabilities. And although many believe that it is impossible to make good photos with a camera phone, pictures from this device could compete in quality with soap dishes of the same year of release. The model became a prototype for the W800 version of the same brand, which was different in its firmware, bundle and appearance.

Equipment

In the box with the new phone, the user received headphones, a driver disk, a cable for connecting to a computer, a memory card and instructions. She had Russian and 119 pages of detailed information. At the same time "on board": FM with auto-search, MP3 player, voice recorder, flashlight, unpretentious browser, Bluetooth and modem. About the camera has already been said, but you can mention the curtain, hiding the lens at the usual time. Shutter, by the way, was not only on the K750, many subsequent models of the brand had lens protection. At the same flash, the power of which is enough to use as a flashlight, it does not close, and the phone's firmware allows you to turn on the flash separately from the shooting mode.

Camera

The right part of the top picture shows the shifted shutter. It takes pictures of the Sony Ericsson K750i without removing the key lock. The shutter movement activates the shutter button, as well as several buttons on the keyboard that activate various shooting modes. The viewfinder is the front display. Pictures are recommended to be saved to the card - this can be set up directly in camera mode.

Memory card

Own memory minimum, so the card is bundled, by the way. The main difference between K750i and W800 was in the scope of this attached card. The Sony Ericsson K750i was positioned as a business device, and it received a flash card in only 64 MB. The second device is bundled with 512 MB.

The card can be used not only by the camera, it can be seen by the player, it was also possible to record a melody for the call and a message signal. The player can read folders of flash drives, supports playlists. In addition to those shot by the camera, other pictures can be stored on the map. File manager understands audio, video and graphic information. Based on the almost complete lack of memory per se, the developers took care of the fast transfer of data from phone to card and back. When you replace the memory card with a more capacious user, all of the phone's functions also receive a USB flash drive.

Battery and Charging

The battery for Sony Ericsson K750i is made in a separate box, which is inserted under the cover, located on the back of the phone. For correct insertion on the contact side, there are small stops, which simultaneously serve as guides during installation. The Simka is under it, slightly recessed into the body, and it is impossible to remove it without disconnecting the battery and sharp object to allow for the edge.

If the phone is used only for calls, the camera, the radio capacity of the battery can last for a week or more (for comparison: the smartphone needs to be charged 2-3 times a week). Like other modern devices, the charging from the computer is stable, but here there is another problem - the PC will not see the phone (and therefore will not charge) until all the drivers that are divided separately into the drivers for the cable and phone are installed. Therefore, it's easier to use the Sony Ericsson K750i charger that comes with the kit.

In 2005, when this phone came out, the unification of the charge was not yet, so charging from another phone is not suitable. The same applies to other cables - the phone has a non-standard connector, you can connect only the cable that has connectors for the devices from the SE. But not branded cables, which are half cheaper, also work quietly. The unified SE connector in all models works identically: the "ears" on the sides for fixation, and between them goes a set of thin plate-contacts. Each connected device has the plates in its places, and when connected, closes its contacts on the socket. However, thanks to the announcement of the company about the release of a new line, the issue of connecting headphones of other brands was solved through an adapter.

One end has a plug that allows you to plug it into the phone, and the second one has a standard 3.5 socket.

Screen

With all its variety of functions, the Sony Ericsson K750i display has only 256 thousand colors and a resolution of 176x220. The screen itself is under the glass of the case. The glass does not shine, but on a bright, sunny day the image fades slightly, although it remains visible.

The backlight is pleasant enough blue tones, the brightness is selected manually, but, as a rule, the phone from the box is already set up correctly. The screen is well lit, it is visible the same as the day. Under the keys, the backlight is white, although the star and grille remain in the shadows.

Conclusion

According to many, Sony Ericsson K750i has become one of the best sellers on the phone market, despite the fact that many years have passed, there are minor flaws with the drivers, the feature set of this device can still be called "All in One".
