Simple and original: chicken in kefir in the oven

Many housewives do not like to bake a chicken, believing that its meat in the oven becomes dryish. This is not quite true. The main thing is to be able to soak the marinade with chicken. And to hide it from overdrying with some sauce. Then the dish will turn out tender, and the meat - juicy and fragrant. They say that all ingenious is simple. The minimum of products, simple - even for the child, a culinary process, and on the output you get a meal, from one smell of which you swallow the tongue.

However, this dish can not be classified as "guests on the doorstep," since it needs to be cooked for a long time.

To begin with, we must pickle the chicken in kefir. How it's done? You can take a whole broiler, but if you do not want to mess with cutting a carcass, buy a kilogram of individual parts - shins, wings, chests or thighs. So the pieces of meat will be the same thickness and evenly baked. We wash our cipu, rub it with salt, sprinkle it with spices. To this dish go Provencal herbs, garlic, green onions, black pepper and oregano. And if you run out of fantasy, just take the "Seasoning to the chicken." Then we put the pieces of meat into a deep bowl. Sprinkle with onions rings and pour half a liter or a little more kefir. The main thing is that the chicken completely drown in the liquid. We cover the container with a lid and put it in a cool place for at least 2-3 hours, or even better - for eight hours.

At the end of this time, turn on the oven at 180 o C. We refract the refractory mold with vegetable oil. There we shift the pieces of meat along with the marinade. Put the mold in the oven. Chicken in kefir in the oven is about an hour.

Do not let things slide! If the liquid will evaporate strongly and expose the meat, you need from time to time pour kefir or simply turn pieces.

The hen in kefir in the oven is prepared more quickly if you heat the oven by 220 degrees. Then the dish will be baked in thirty minutes. Kefir sauce thickens. At the end of half an hour we take out the form, grease the top of the dish with mayonnaise, sprinkle with crushed garlic and return it to the oven for another ten minutes for browning.

For example, you can prepare the main dish along with the garnish. So, in the beginning for a few hours we pick up chicken thighs. Kefir can be lightly beaten with mint, basil, oregano, rosemary, crushed garlic and onions.

While the chicken thighs "take a sour milk bath", we clean potatoes, cut it with oblong lobules or circles. We put it in the form, greased with olive oil. We pepper potatoes, sprinkle with herbs-flavorings. Do not forget to crumble garlic. Chop cherry tomatoes, put them on top of potatoes. From above place the hips and fill the form with a marinade.
