The exhaust system is a very important part of the car, caring for which does not cause special concerns. It boils down to a timely replacement of the muffler, rumpled sections of the pipe, and also resonators.

In the tube itself along its entire length there are holes, and the inner edge is dampened. The space between the walls is filled with a special fiber. It may vary depending on what sound is required. Usually, this fiber "cuts" the high frequencies, leaving only a solid and deep bass.

Now about the passage of air. It enters the outer cylinder from the intake pipe, since the inner part is soldered, and then, passing through the filter, it leaves into the holes in the inner tube, and then into the atmosphere.

The VAZ muffler, even in-line, does not have a high capacity, because the engines do not have large volumes and can not create a large pressure in the exhaust system.
