In St. Petersburg, there will be a Roundtable "Rights of the Rights and Rights of the Child: Education and Education"

In the Central City Children's Library named after Pushkin of St. Petersburg (on Bolshaya Morskaya, 33) December 9, 2011 from 11:00 to 13:00 will be held a round table "Human Rights and the Rights of the Child: Education and Education", dedicated to the International Human Rights Day . Registration of participants: from 10:30 to 11:00.

Directors and deputy directors of schools, teachers of primary classes, teachers of social science and law, students of pedagogical universities, heads of children's libraries and all those interested in modern technologies of human rights education and training are invited. There will be a presentation of educational and methodological materials for schools and libraries. Each participant will be able to share their experience and discuss issues of interest to him.

The following topics are suggested for discussion:

- Teaching children's rights in primary school

- How to increase the social activity and level of responsibility of students

- Volunteering as an effective instrument of upbringing and education

- How to realize the rights of the child and human rights in practice

- The Children's Movement to Protect Books and Readings in St. Petersburg

Within the framework of the round table there will be a presentation of the book for the elementary school "The rights of the child are your rights". Author of the book Natalia Eliasberg, Professor of the Department of Social Education of the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Teacher Education, President of the St. Petersburg NGO The Humanitarian Pedagogical Center "Citizen of the XXI Century" will talk about the experience of civil-law education and its principles.

Ruslan Khusainov, leader of the International Movement "Youth for Human Rights" in St. Petersburg, will talk about educational and methodological materials on human rights and also about the experience of implementing social programs.

 

All submitted materials on human rights and the rights of the child will be provided to the participants free of charge.
