Sights of Noginsk: photos and reviews of tourists

In the Moscow region there is an amazing city. It has many interesting sights, it is surrounded by forests, rivers and lakes from all sides. In addition, Noginsk is recognized as the cleanest city in the Moscow region.

The city is located 46 km from Moscow. This is the administrative center of Noginsk district, which includes Staraya Kupavna, Elektrougli, Chernogolovka, as well as the villages of Obukhovo, Fryazevo, Kolontaevo and others. The city is connected with the capital by the Gorky highway and the Moscow-Vladimir railway line. In Noginsk lives 102 247 people.

Noginsk is not a resort town, which is visited by thousands of tourists. Nevertheless, the townspeople are proud of its history and carefully store numerous sights. Noginsk has numerous historical, cultural and natural monuments. We will introduce you to some of them in this article.

City `s history

The present Noginsk was first mentioned in the chronicles, dating back to 1389. Then the settlement located on this place was called the village of Rogozhi. Its name derives from the river of the same name.

In 1781 the village received the official status of the city and was renamed Bogorodsk. During the war with the French (1812) he was devastated by Napoleon's troops. In 1876, the monumental Epiphany Cathedral was built on the site of the almost destroyed church.

In the middle of the XIX century in the city there was a large textile production - Bogoroditsa-Glukhovskaya manufactory. In the second half of the XIX century the city became one of the centers of the Old Believers in the Moscow region. With the Old Believer community there was a big choir, which was known for public speeches.

In the years of Soviet power, the city became famous for the fact that in its territory the first monument to Lenin in the world was erected on the design of the decorator of Glukhov's manufactory F. Kuznetsov. This monument is also unique in that it began to be created even during the life of the leader, and his discovery was to take place on January 22, 1924. In the morning the head of the city received a telegram about Ilyich's death, so the opening of the monument was tragic. In Noginsk the city was renamed in honor of Bolshevik Victor Nogin in 1930.

Sightseeing - Epiphany Cathedral

From this cathedral, as a rule, all visitors come to study local sights. Noginsk, or rather its inhabitants, are very proud of this monumental structure, built on the project of ND Strukov in 1767. The building is made in the style of late classicism and is located in the historical center of the city, on the right bank of the Klyazma. This is the main temple in the Bogorodsky deanery of the Moscow diocese. The cross-domed church has a four-tiered bell tower. Crowns its cylindrical drum with a dome-shaped head. The facade of the church is decorated with a pediment and pilasters, and its eastern part is completed by an altar apse. The dome of the bell tower is decorated with columns, mechanical watches are installed above them. Bells are made up of ten bells of different sizes.

The interior of the temple is also magnificent. Here you can see a four-tiered carved iconostasis, and under the dome gaze of visitors a unique seven-story chandelier with images opens. The most venerated shrines of parishioners consider the icon of Kazan Mother of God, the icon of the warrior Ushakov with particles of relics, the image of Our Lady "The Inexhaustible Chalice".

Berlyukovskaya deserts

Here it is necessary to visit all who would like to see the city's cult places of interest. Noginsk is known to the Orthodox far beyond its borders thanks to this monastery.

The first mention of it dates back to 1606. In those ancient times on the earth, which is now occupied by the monastery, lived the hieromonks Varlaam. He built a wooden chapel in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The monastery was founded in 1701. It became the home of Chudova Monastery (Moscow). Here was erected a magnificent stone temple, consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

Since 1719, it has become the main temple of the desert. Since 1779, the monastery has been given a new name - the Berlukovo Desert of Nikolaev. Its founder was Metropolitan Platon. In the desert is a very rare ancient icon, which depicts Judas, kissing the Savior.

In 1920 many buildings of the monastery were transferred to the house of disabled people. At the very beginning of 1930, the last Divine Liturgy was held here, after which the monastery was closed. He was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church in 2002. Hegumen Evmeny became the abbot of the monastery.

The monument to Pimen

In 2010, at the intersection of the streets of the Workers and the Decembrists, Monument to Patriarch Pimen was opened. This event was timed to the 100th anniversary of his birth. The sculpture was created by I.V. Komochkin, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. The figure of the patriarch is cast from bronze and is mounted on a pedestal made of light granite. The height of the composition is 6.8 meters.

Patriarch Pimen was the fourteenth chapter of the ROC. He headed Orthodox Russia from 1971 to 1990. It is necessary to know that this is the only Russian patriarch who managed to defend his country during the Great Patriotic War.

This striking person went through a difficult and long journey before his enthronement. To witness the greatness of the patriarch, to perpetuate his bright memory, the city's leadership decided to install this monument in the city.

Square of fountains

Not all tourists like to see churches, temples and other places of worship. Noginsk can offer this category of guests more romantic places. For example, the area of fountains. It is always crowded here - the townspeople walk, take pictures, drink coffee in small cozy cafes.

Bridge of Lovers

This unofficial name was given to a pedestrian bridge connecting the two banks of the Klyazma. This small structure is a notable urban attraction. According to the existing tradition, loving couples decorate the Bridge of Lovers in Noginsk (more precisely, its railing) with locks that symbolize their eternal love. There are such bridges in many countries of the world, and hardly anyone can say where this tradition originated. Today the Bridge of Lovers is one of the most romantic places in the city. Here appoint appointments, newlyweds come, who click the locks on the railing of the bridge, and the keys to them are thrown into the river. On this bridge the atmosphere of an endless holiday reigns, which you can not help feeling.

The local branch of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation is a public organization that conducts active exhibition activity. The artist's house represents the work of professionals who work in a variety of techniques and genres.
