The hydro-gun, the principle of operation of which is built on the protection of boiler heat exchangers, protects them against heat strokes. At the same time, the basis of the system is cast iron. Often, such situations occur when the boiler is first started up or when carrying out technical work when it is necessary to disconnect the circulation pump from hot water. In addition, the use of a water separator contributes to the preservation of the heating system in the integrity in the event of a shutdown of hot water in automatic mode.

Purpose of the device

Shooting gun, the principle of operation of which will be described in this article, is needed to equalize the pressure level in the boiler system at different flow rates in the main circuit and the sum of the parameters of the secondary thermal circuits. The device regulates the functioning of heating systems with many circuits (radiator, water heater, warm floor). If the proper rules are observed in hydrodynamics, the device will ensure that there is no negative interaction between the circuits and will allow constant operation in the established mode.

Hydro separator plays the role of settler and eliminates mechanical formations (scale, corrosion) from the coolant while observing hydromechanical norms. This function has a very positive effect on the duration of the moving parts of the heating system.

The device removes air from the coolant, which lowers the oxidation process in the metal elements.

In systems of standard design, where the presence of only one circuit is implied, switching off a number of branches results in very little expenditure in the boiler. As a result, the temperature of the cooled heat carrier is significantly increased.

The hydraulic separator ensures the maintenance of a stable heat consumption, which compares the temperatures of the supply and return pipes.

What processes occur in the hydro-machine gun

  • To understand the purpose for which this device is installed in the heating system, it is necessary to find out what processes occur with water during the passage through the cavity of the hydro-gun. It is necessary to understand the basic parameters of operation of two or more contour heating systems of autonomous purpose.
  • After carrying out all the installation work, the joints in the pipes will be welded. The heating system is filled with cold water. As a rule, the temperature index is 5-15 Cº.
  • When the automation switches on the main circuit pump for circulation and the burner is ignited, the pumps of the secondary circuits do not work, and the coolant moves only along the first circuit. Thus, the stream will rush downward.
  • After the coolant reaches the desired temperature, the secondary water flow contour produces the same selection. With equal water flows of the main and secondary contours, the water separator acts as an air separator. It filters out dirt and fuel oil. Thus, the process of heating and heating hot water occurs. It should be noted that achieving an absolutely equal rate of water flow in all circuits is an impossible task.
  • By means of automation, the flow in the secondary circuit is regulated, when the water reaches the desired temperature, and the hot water pump turns off. If the thermal heads of the radiators cover the flow due to overheating of the room on the solar side, then in this circuit of the heating system the hydro resistivity rises. In this case, an automated pump is connected, which reduces the capacity and flow of water in the secondary circuits. Through the flow along the main and secondary contours, the movement begins upward along the hydro-gun. If the heating system is not equipped with a hydraulic gun, the pumps responsible for circulation would at least cease to function as a result of significant tilting in the hydraulic system.
  • When the automation of the boiler device stops the operation of the main heating circuit pump, the flow of the coolant in the hydro-gun rushes upward. But this situation is very rare.

How to make a self-propelled gun

Many are interested in how to make a self-propelled gun with their own hands? To manufacture this device you need skills in the field of welding. It should be noted that the installation of a self-made system will also cost a lot.

To make such a device, as a self-propelled gun, with their own hands, it will take drills, cranes, manometers, rectangular tubes, a bulgarian, a hammer and a welding machine with electrodes up to 3 mm.

The holes in the collector should be burned by the electrode in the marking. On welds for welding, a chamfer of 1 mm should be made. Welding is performed in a circular fashion with a leg index of 3-4 mm. Then collector tubes are marked. The heating circuit with a hydro-gun in this case assumes the presence of three circuits.

In the contour pipe on the "cold" side, it is necessary to burn two holes along the edges and three under the connecting sleeves (two in one direction and one in the other). On the "hot" side, one hole in the middle and three holes under the connecting sleeves are burned. Through holes should be located on the same axis with the discharge holes on the "hot" pipe. They will be welded two outlet nozzles, and the third will come out the final drive. On the "cold" side there will be two holes for the connecting sleeves and one for the branch pipe that passes through the hot pipe in the middle of the assembly. The holes for the manometers are burned after preliminary assembly.

The final stage in the manufacture of such a device as a water gun, with their own hands is testing the system under the pressure of water.

It can be done by soaping the joints with soap. Apply pressure of at least 2 atmospheres. It can be fed in any way and at any point (for example, a drain tap fitting). Seams can not be coated, if it is possible to control the pressure drop. If it falls, soaping with soap bubbles is needed.

  • A low speed makes it possible to reduce the hydraulic resistance in the shifter. It has a zero value, but if you discard the first two reasons, the separator can be used as a mixing unit. In other words, the diameter of the arrow decreases and its vertical speed increases. This makes it possible to save materials. The hydroshoot can be used in the case when there is no need for a temperature gradient, and only a heating circuit is required.
  • A small speed removes small air bubbles from the coolant.

Can the hydraulic distributor be installed at an angle of 90 degrees to the horizon

The device can be installed at such an angle. You can place the gun in an arbitrary position. If it is necessary to detach mechanical waste, withdraw the air flow automatically, or divide the circuit in accordance with the temperature indicator, the device should be installed as originally provided.

Of course he does. The optimal volume indicator for equalizing the temperature differences is 100-300 liters. The indicator of this volume is especially relevant if the boiler is operating on a warm fuel.
