Picks of Pepper Seedling

Pikirovka, as you know, is called transplanting seedlings in another, more spacious, a place to get a larger area for food. Picking pepper sprouts somewhat slows the growth of plants, as the roots of the Bulgarian pepper are tender enough and are very sensitive to mechanical action.

Therefore, if possible, it is desirable to grow pepper seedlings without picks. Seeding for this is done in late February - early March. For better seed germination, they must be soaked in a solution of the biostimulator or held for several hours in warm water. Thus, you can get pepper seedlings and without picks, but, nevertheless, many gardeners grow seedlings with a pick.

Plants with a pomaceous root system, which includes pepper, after picking take root in a new place much easier than plants with a rod root system, so the correct sprouting of seedlings will only temporarily slow its growth.

As seedlings grow, more and more nutrients and light are needed, strong plants begin to muffle the weak ones, so it is important not to miss the timing of pickling sprouts. If the seedling does not provide everything necessary, it will grow thin and frail, and then a good harvest can not be obtained. After all, by the time of the landing on the site the seedlings must reach a certain level of development, it must form a developed root system, sturdy stem, leaves and generative organs. This allows you to get an earlier harvest. Grow this seedlings only in sufficient area. For pepper, containers in diameter should be 8-10 centimeters in diameter, and depth - 12-15 centimeters.

Pikirovka pepper sprouts in separate cups promotes faster growth of plants, as well as reduces the risk of infection with various diseases.

Glasses can be made from different materials - paper, polyethylene, the main thing is that in the bottom there was an opening for removing excess moisture. Containers need to be filled with a special mixture composed of soil, humus and sand. Pike seedling pepper is produced in compacted, but not compacted soil. Soil mixture should not be poured to the edge of the glass by two centimeters.

The timing of pickling sprouts may be different. Plants dive both in the phase of cotyledons, and in the stage of formation of these leaves - in both cases this is the correct sprouting of seedlings. It is known that cotyledonous leaves assimilate nutrients, so it is important to not damage them when transplanting, otherwise the plants will lag behind in development. This is proved by experience.

Picks of pepper seedling should be made to a certain depth. If the transplanted plants cotyledonous leaves protrude 2-3 cm above the ground, then the sprouts of the pepper seedling are correctly made. If the leaves protrude by one centimeter, the growth point may be covered with earth and the seedlings will die.

The day before the picking, containers with soil should be filled with water to plant seedlings in moist soil. Dive quickly, until the plants are not faded, for this you need to use a special spatula or peg.

First, a small depression is made in the soil of the container by a special peg. Then, taking the plant with two fingers for the stem, dig it out with a peg and lower it into the prepared groove in the soil mixture in such a way that the cotyledons remain half a centimeter above the soil level. Without releasing the plant, carefully pour the soil into the hole in the ground, let it go, compact the soil around and water well the planted seedling.

That's all. If now the seedlings provide good conditions for growth and development, the seedlings will turn out to be powerful and healthy.
