Before we talk about who Sergei Odintsov is, let's start with a small introduction. In the early 2000s, Russian reality TVs became very popular. "The Last Hero" is an analogue of the original English version of "Survivor", created in 1992, followed by an American version - Survivor. But the Russian name was invented by one of the authors and producers of the program Sergey Suponev. Total on the First Channel came six seasons. The leading became such celebrities as S. Bodrov, D. Pevtsov, N. Fomenko, A. Domogarov, V. Menchov, K. Sobchak.

First season

So, the first issue was launched on November 17, 2001. A special selection was held by 16 people who were landed on one of the uninhabited islands of the Bocas del Toro archipelago, located on the border of Costa Rica and Panama.

The project "The Last Hero" was the most expensive on the First Channel and caused a lot of critical reviews from all sides, however, it was both the most exciting and extreme. Participants starved, participated in difficult competitions and lived in wild conditions, in short - survived as best they could.

February 14, 2002 in the sports complex "Olympic" held a festive greeting concert, where the presentation of the soundtrack of the group "Bi-2" and awarding the winner was held. On the stage, invited all 16 participants in the reality show. The winner was announced Sergey Odintsov.

He really is a very modest and simple, open and friendly customs officer from Kursk, who won the main prize of 3 million rubles. He was ready for the glory.

Biography of Sergei Odintsov has very modest data only that he is a customs officer from Kursk, a special commander of UIN, a man who has twice visited Chechnya and has awards from the president himself.

In his first interview, he said that on the project, although it was not easy to stay a long time without food, the most difficult thing was to vote against fellow tribesmen, who immediately had to leave the island. However, Sergey Odintsov learned a lot there, and, first of all, - to understand people, to explain their behavior when they commit certain actions. It is difficult to remain a man in emergency situations, especially if such money is at stake.

The most wise person, in his opinion, was Inna Gomez, the kindest - Sergei Tereshchenko and Vanya Lyubimenko.

Sergei Odintsov was not very fond of discussing human vices and identifying scoundrels in the game. Since the prize was still not a joke, some had to use all means to achieve their goal.

After the victory, Sergey's dreams were absolutely normal, as for an ordinary person: to buy an apartment and a car "Audi".

10 years later

Ten years later the journalists again managed to find out how Sergey Odintsov is - "the last hero". They wanted to ask him many different questions, in particular, what he is doing now and where he spent his millions. However, Sergei Odintsov did not change at all. How many years have passed, and he and he lives with his family in his native Kursk.

Sergey admitted that for the first time since returning from the island he was constantly recognized on the street, but all this unprecedented excitement and distribution of autographs very quickly ended. From his words, this is not quite what you needed to be happy about. Life under a microscope caused him to have ambiguous feelings.

He left the service at the customs and took up politics, he was elected a deputy of the city assembly.

Dreams come true

He fulfilled his wishes: he bought a three-room apartment and two cars. With the won three million he had to give the state 30% tax. Having occupied himself with building his own restaurant in Kursk, he realized that this was not an easy thing, there was not enough money, we had to look for sponsors. Despite all the difficulties, he did not abandon his idea, by the way, this is his wrestling character, now he is actively engaged in the construction of the institution, and has already built a summer playground. Together with the workers engaged in finishing, clogs nails, leads the communication. The construction is moving towards completion. Asked how he would call his restaurant, he replied: "Old Park". On the site where this institution is built (the territory of the Park on May 1), once there was also a tavern.

Self-improvement

And then came the conversation not about the material, but about what changes occurred in his life in terms of communication with people. And he again mentioned that he was lucky enough to meet such great people as Inna Gomez, Ivan Kushnirev, the producer, and then he mentioned the name of the now popular presenter Mikhail Kozhukhov, who then worked on the island as a journalist. Kozhukhov immediately noted and suggested to Sergei that he had the right thoughts, but that's not enough vocabulary. When he flew to Moscow, they together went to the bookstore, and he bought him a bunch of interesting literature.

Sergey admitted that from now on he reads all his spare time, and is still in the stage of self-improvement and personality formation.

After the project with its members, friends are very rare. Odintsov practically does not correspond with anyone and does not call up, everyone has his own life.

He also told that in October a meeting of participants took place in Moscow, timed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the project, but very few people came from the very first, as Sergey himself admitted.

The main events in life

Despite all these vicissitudes, everyday circumstances and the success of winning, the most important event in Sergei's life, according to his own admission, over the last ten years was the birth of his second wife, Alexander, to the wife of Rita, he is 2.5 years old, the first was Sonya's daughter. He wisely concluded that it was a great happiness to be the father of two children.

Sergei Odintsov is the last hero left on the project, but here it should also be noted that he is the hero of not only a popular reality show. In 1994, he participated in the storming of Grozny and for that he was awarded the medal "For Courage". In 2000, Sergei Odintsov, while serving in the Airborne Forces under a contract in Chechnya, received clearance weapons from the President of the Russian Federation for clearance of 27 mines under the Rostov-Baku highway.

Sergei Odintsov now won another very important victory in the elections to the city council. His voters threaten to ask him in full, but Sergei calmly responds to them that after he lived on the island for several months, he is already not afraid of anything. He scored 40% of the vote and outstripped his competitors. As a former special forces commander, he asserts that he did not have to agitate much for his candidacy, it is not necessary for a strong one, but for a weak one he simply will not help.

But, anyway, the project also played into his hands, in Kursk it is known almost everything. All dialogues with voters started with talking about the project, and then it all boiled down to the painful problems of the townspeople.

Tasks

Now he is engaged in the repair of houses, roofs and porches, some have not been repaired for several decades.

Odintsov, among other things, goes to the gym and maintains a good physical shape, drives a car without a personal driver and only gets used to the costume, tie and deputy chair. He says that in his office he does not feel remote from the people, he is still a "guy from our yard" for people.

His wife, Margarita Odintsova, is fully confident that her husband, who is used to coping with all the difficulties on the island, will also cope with the new job.

Term

One more detail. In 2007, businessman and politician Sergei Odintsov was sentenced to 1 year of suspended prison. On his car, he hurried to the city meeting, but in the center of Kursk was a religious procession, and then Sergei on his car went to the oncoming lane to drive him around. Inspector Sergei Gordeyev wanted to stop him, but the driver did not intend to stop. He touched the inspector's hood, so that he fell, and he left. Odintsov tried to convince everyone at the trial that all this happened by accident. The investigation lasted 9 months, during which time the deputy and the lieutenant were reconciled. Odintsov compensated him for damage, the amount of which is not disclosed.
