How to partition a hard disk by yourself
What is convenient to partition hard drives into partitions? Let's start with simple examples. Imagine that in your office there are boxes in which you store various documents. Surely they are arranged in a strict order. And now think: if you cancel this order, and you need to find some documentation, can you do it? I think so, but the question rests on the amount of time spent. Therefore, storing documents in one heap is at least irrational. That's why many are wondering how to break a hard drive. A similar structure, where one partition is designed for the operating system, and the other for storing other data, provides efficient operation. This must be understood.
So how do you partition a hard disk into partitions? For this purpose, a special utility is built in Windows operating systems. However, it has a number of limitations and very meager functionality. However, if you just installed the operating system and your physical disk is not partitioned, this utility can be very useful. To get into it, go to "Control Panel" - "Administration" - "Computer Management" - "Disk Management". In the window you will see your disks in a graphic version - this facilitates perception. Since your physical disk does not have partitions, it will look like a solid area. To split it into sections, right-click the appropriate menu. The rest of the system will do it yourself.
Which program to break a hard drive allows for partitions, while preserving the data? This software is a lot, I would like to advise Acronis Disk Director. This is an intuitive program, it can also be learned by a beginner.
The main thing is to remember that partitioning the hard disk into partitions is accompanied by formatting. The operating system remains intact.
