Sealant ABRO: features and types

Automotive sealants appeared on the market relatively recently, but in quite a short period of time they were able to prove their usefulness, importance and necessity in the most complicated situations.

ABSO sealant

The ABRO multi-purpose sealant is designed to repair or replace most types of gaskets found in a car. It is made on the basis of silicone and polymers, has high elasticity and strength, is able to take absolutely any form, instantly freezes. Silicone sealant ABRO successfully withstands tension, compression and shear and under the action of water, automobile oils and antifreeze is not completely destroyed. It also has a high resistance to brake fluid and gasoline.

Types of sealant

The ABRO sealant can be of several types, which differ in their physical properties and color:

  • Clear (transparent);
  • Blue;
  • Cray (gray);
  • Black (black);
  • Red (red).

Red sealant for gaskets ABRO

This tool is designed to replace and repair gaskets operating at very high temperatures (retains its properties when heated to 343 ° C), it is safe for cars with oxygen sensors. Red ABRO sealant can be used to replace almost all the gaskets found in vehicles. It has resistance to all motor fluids. After drying, the product remains flexible.

Black and gray ABRO sealants

Black (as well as transparent and blue) sealant can be used for most types of damaged gaskets, and withstands heating up to 260 0 С. The agent is able to create a gasket in a few seconds, easily takes any shape, is endowed with high strength and elasticity, And cracking. Also not afraid of the effects of water, oil, transmission fluids and antifreeze.

Gray ABRO Silicone Sealant has been specially developed for the repair of gaskets in Japanese car brands, but the tool can also be used in the engines of cars produced in the US and Europe. The sealant is resistant to almost all liquids present in the car, except for gasoline. This is an ideal tool for forming gaskets in such components of the car as the gearbox, intake manifold, water pumps, thermostat housing, crankcase. The composition is high-temperature (up to 343 ° C), odorless.

Mode of application

  • First of all, it is necessary to remove fragments of the old damaged gasket and to clean the surface well.
  • Then remove the cap from the sealant, pierce the protective foil and put on the attached nozzle.
  • Next, you need to cut off the tip of the nozzle so that an aperture of the required size is formed.
  • Apply sealant to the entire mating surface along the perimeter, forming a layer with a thickness of about 2-3 mm.
  • Allow to dry for 10 minutes before assembly. The formed gasket will dry completely after 24 hours.

Precautionary measures

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact rinse with warm water. Remove the skin sealant with a dry cloth. The ABRO sealant is used for good ventilation. The product should be carefully protected from children.

After use, the tube should be closed with a cap. The expiration date while maintaining the integrity is not limited.

User Reviews

Sealant ABRO reviews received the following. Users appreciated the effectiveness and inexpensive cost of this tool. They noted that the sealants quickly solidify rather quickly, but medium in the field of durability and reliability. Many do not recommend their use for fastening elements of high-speed motors with high loads.
