Salad "Yeralash" - fast and useful!

The very first salad "Yeralash" appeared in the book "About the benefits of tasty and healthy food", published in the Soviet times. Many useful dishes were presented in it. Particularly interesting to the reader were various salads for the festive table. Since then, our dish has undergone various changes. Although we must pay tribute to the fact that many housewives prepare a salad "Yeralash" according to the traditional recipe. The benefits of the dish are quite obvious, because the vegetables that make up it are not boiled or fried. Thus, they retain all their nutritional value. Therefore, a salad is very useful for a person. The original name was given to the dish because it is not laid out in layers, but is mixed to combine in one spoon all the most delicious and nutritious foods. Salad "Yeralash" is useful to do both in the spring period, when the body after the winter experiences a state of vitamin deficiency, and in the summer, when this dish is refreshed, will give vigor and additional strength. This dish is quite simple. All products can be found in the store at any time of the year. So, what we need to make a beautiful and unique in its properties salad:

  1. Fresh cabbage - 200 g.
  2. Onions - 1 pc.
  3. Carrots - 3 pcs.
  4. Meat - 200 g.
  5. Beet - 3 pcs.
  6. Canned green peas - 3 tablespoons.
  7. Mayonnaise.
  8. Salt pepper.

Salad "Yeralash": recipe for cooking

First, let's define meat. In such a salad you can put both beef, pork, chicken or veal. Since there are many ingredients, salad preparation can take about an hour. But, believe me, it's worth it. Let's do cooking:

  1. Carrots and beets are peeled and wiped on a large grater. It is necessary to choose a grater with large enough holes, otherwise the vegetables will lose all their juice and turn into vegetable puree. Cook or fry them do not need, because salad means only fresh products.
  2. Cabbage leaves should be cut into small strips so that it is convenient to apply. After the cabbage is chopped, you need to add a little salt to it and mash it. Thus, it will become softer and will absorb salt.
  3. Take a low-fat piece of meat and boil it with the addition of spices. If you do not have boiled meat available, you can replace it with sausage or sausages. However, it turns out a slightly different taste, so it is recommended to use meat all the same.
  4. Onions cut into half rings, soaked in boiling water, so as not to bitter, and then add it to the salad. After you have removed the bitterness from the onion, you do not need to salt it, otherwise the salad will be too salty.
  5. Add a couple of spoons of canned peas and mayonnaise. Since the salad is made entirely of fresh vegetables, mayonnaise will not need too much.
  6. Stir everything carefully. We add a little ground black pepper for sharpness.

Decor

In order to decorate the salad "Yeralash", you can take a couple of olives without pits, cut them in circles and lay them on top. A plate for salad can also be served as an ornament with olives or salad leaves, folded in the manner of a horn. Believe me, you will appreciate the taste and nutritional qualities of this dish!
