Pavel Yakovlev was born on April 7, 1991 in Lyubertsy, located in the Moscow region of the Russian Federation. With football he began to get involved at an early age, so he attended the Zvezda sports school in his hometown, and then moved to the capital, where he successfully passed the screening in Moscow's Spartak.

Thus, at the age of sixteen he was already in a new city and a new club, which he became a pupil. Professional contract with "Spartacus" Pavel Yakovlev concluded in 2009, when he turned eighteen.

During the following years, many fans had a question about where Pavel Yakovlev was playing. The fact is that at that time he was considered a great talent, but he did not have enough experience to get into the starting lineup of the team.

In 2009, he played 16 games, scoring 4 goals, but already in the next season he started less cheerfully. For six months he appeared on the field only six times, after which he was leased to the "Wings of the Soviets." There, he scored four goals in 12 matches.

Returning to "Spartacus", he spent 19 more matches, having noted two goals, but the club's management felt that Pavel Yakovlev is not yet ready to be a full-fledged player of the base. Therefore, for the second half of the season, he was again sent to the "Wings of the Soviets", where he scored five goals in 24 games.

Over the next two years, Yakovlev periodically appeared on the field and played 41 games, scoring five goals. However, in 2014, he almost ceased to receive the practice game - went on the field in nine meetings and was noted with only one hit. Moreover, he even began to play for the double of "Spartacus", so as not to lose form due to the rare outings on the field.

As a result, it was decided to again give the player a lease, this time in Mordovia. There, he came out 12 times in the field for six months, but did not notice a large number of effective actions, and did not score goals at all. As a result, he returned to Spartak and went directly to the double, but then got a chance to regain his form in the Wings of the Soviets, for which he spoke earlier.

However, having gone on lease for a year, he was able to achieve only four outings on the field. In the summer of 2016, Yakovlev returned to the Moscow club, which refused to renew his contract with him. Fortunately, Makhachkala "Anji" needed any reinforcement of protection after the termination of funding, so Paul was able to move there on a free agent.

Going to "Anji"

Performances in the national team

As already mentioned earlier, Yakovlev was considered a very talented and promising player in his youth. And it is noticeable from his statistics of the performance for the Russian national team. He has nine matches in the Russian national team in the age group under 17.

In 2009, he was twice summoned to the national team to 19 years, and then was transferred to the team in the age category to 21 years. It was there that he spent most of his time: Yakovlev went on the field 23 times and scored four goals.

However, unfortunately, he could not achieve more. In the main Russian team he was not called, because his unstable period of travels on rent began.
