Biography

Elistratov Semen was born in 1990 in Ufa. Already from an early age, the boy was very active and moving, so the parents decided to write it to the sports section. At first Semyon attended classes on taekwondo, but six months later he drew attention to such a sport as a short track.

One of the first who recognized the talent of a young athlete, was coach Andrei Maksimov, who is now Elistratov's mentor. It was under his leadership that Semyon from an ordinary prospective junior turned into a star of the world short track.

Despite a very tight training schedule, Elistratov managed not only to finish the school well, but also to enter the Institute of Physical Education, to obtain a master's degree and a coaching license.

Sports career

According to the tradition of the sports school, novice short track-players get the first skates as a gift from famous sportsmen. Semyonu they got from the hands of Julia Chachina, who at one time became a prize-winner of the European Championship. This also served as a stimulus for Elistratov for hard training.
