Russian serial killer Artem Anufriev

In early 2011, in a calm area of Irkutsk - Akademgorodok - a series of brutal and senseless murders occurred. Local residents began to be afraid to leave the house at night. According to the most common version, a serial maniac was started in the city . Perturbation and surprise of the public increased at times, when it became known that all crimes committed Artem Anufriev along with schoolmate - Nikita Lytkin. What is striking, their murderous adventures of the murderer began, barely having time to celebrate adulthood.

Exposure, which no one expected

Akademgorodok is a quiet, intelligent and rather prestigious district of Irkutsk. The bulk of the population are families of employees of local research institutes, but there are also visitors who bought apartments here. In this residential micro-district has always been developed infrastructure, cultural life, and the crime rate was considered quite low. A series of murders and violent attacks on people caused a significant response among local residents.

The real panic in the Academgorodok began in 2011. In January and February, several corpses were found there. Police officers and volunteers searched for a lone maniac with a mental disorder, then a gang of frantic teenagers. The denouement of bloody history was unexpected. The police were approached by a man who provided a videotape, which later became one of the most important evidences in this complicated criminal case. On the film, it was clearly visible how Nikita Lytkin (born in 1993) mocks the body of a recently murdered woman. This video was shot by his best and only friend - Artem Anufriev (born in 1992). On the day of detention, young people gave confessions on the fact of committing five murders and six attacks with causing grave bodily harm to the victims.

Biography of Artem Anufriev

Artem Anufriev was born in Irkutsk on November 4, 1992. The boy grew up in an incomplete family, but at the same time he studied well in the general and music schools. Teachers who deal with Artem, believe that the crimes committed by a young man are a direct consequence of incorrect education. From an early age, Anufriev's mother literally taught her son of hatred. The woman, unconcerned with expressions, persuaded the boy in his own and his exclusivity, emphasizing that the surrounding people are "an unworthy cattle". For her son, she wanted only the best, she was not too lazy to regularly seek to correct Artyom's judgments by scandals and complaints. In high school, Anufriev did not enjoy popularity with peers and had practically no friends. After graduation, Artem entered the Medical Institute.

Nikita Lytkin - "worthy" friend

In the fifth grade Artem Anufriev met Nikita Lytkin. Fast enough the boys became best friends, their friendship lasted until the dock. Nikita Lytkin grew up without a father and from early childhood had problems communicating with peers. As a teenager, he often experienced bouts of depression and bad mood. At such moments, Nikita tried to completely isolate himself from the outside world, withdrew into himself. The boy was often the object of ridicule on the part of his peers, first in school, and then in technical schools, where he studied. And only Artem Anufriev always understood and supported him. What is curious, no one suspected anything directly before the exposure of his friends. Anufriev and Lytkin never publicly showed violence, seemed quiet and timid. Indeed, young people lived in their own world, but it is impossible to call it quiet.

Creativity and antisocial activity

The shock experienced law enforcement officers when they studied all the materials published by young people in social networks. Friends actively engaged in musical creativity, jointly founded the group "Dismembered Pugachova". Under this title Artem Anufriev and Nikita Lytkin created songs in the style of noise and noise. The texts actively promote violence, sexual perversion and contain a huge amount of profanity. Artem for some time was in the movement of skinheads, visited the "Russian march". Very active friends, especially Anufriev, were on the Internet. Artem created groups dedicated to famous serial killers and criminals on social networks. Sometimes a young man tried to "recruit". He was looking for like-minded people in the virtual space and during the conversation he called the interlocutors to violence and killings.

From idea to action: the first attacks

Anufriev and Lytkin began their "hunt" for people in the fall of 2010. With the onset of darkness criminals began to patrol quite popular among local residents path from the stop "State University" to "Academgorodok". Not having any clear plan, the friends just strolled, looking at passers-by. Later Artem tells the investigators that they were waiting with their friend for "their" victims, listening to the inner instinct. On November 14, the criminal couple committed the first attack. The victim of criminals was an eighteen-year-old girl. Artem and Nikita managed to inflict a few severe blows on the head, after which they were frightened. The girl survived and even tried to contact the police, but the statement was not accepted. November 24 Lytkin and Anufriev attacked another woman. The victim also remained alive, she had a bag stolen. On December 1, criminals committed another attack with a robbery. Their prey was a ladies' bag, in which there were 500 rubles. On stolen funds Artem Alexandrovich Anufriev and Nikita Vakhtangovich Lytkin bought kiyanki, very soon they became new instruments of crime.

"Trial" murder

Freshly purchased kyanki criminals could not wait to try in the "present case." Anufriev and Lytkin went in search of the victim, having made the decision to commit their first murder. Very soon the comrades met a twelve-year-old boy, headed for a ride on a hill. The body of the child was discovered a few hours after death. During the initial inspection, the police classified the incident as an accident. The version that the boy during the skiing at high speed drove into the tree, for a long time was the main one.

Most likely, this story would soon be forgotten if on December 16 a new corpse was not found near the place where the teenager's body was found. The victim of the criminals was a woman who is in venerable age and is an employee of a local research institute. On the body of the victim, numerous stab wounds were found. The attention of operatives was attracted by the fact that valuables were not stolen. Until the moment when the criminals were detained, the deserved employee of the research institute was considered the first victim in the bloody Irkutsk series.

Blood series in the Academgorodok of Irkutsk

A couple of weeks after the first murders, Anufriev and Lytkin again went "on the hunt." On December 29, they attacked a middle-aged woman, but were afraid of random witnesses. The victim lost her handbag and was taken to the hospital with a head injury. This criminal failure further inflamed young people. The same day they attacked a pregnant woman. Even the message of the victim about his interesting situation and the offer to voluntarily give all the values did not stop the guys. Criminals struck a series of blows on the head and hands of a woman. However, this day was unsuccessful for intruders. In the midst of the struggle, Artem and Nikita were frightened off by a passing car. The victim not only survived and saved the pregnancy, but almost immediately after the hospitalization began to testify. It was this attack that caused widespread public outcry.

From the testimony of the victim, the police found out that there were two murderers, and their main weapon was a hammer. It was then that Artem Anufriev and Lytkin Nikita received the nickname "hammers". The police redoubled efforts to calculate and capture criminals. Between December 31, 2010 and April 3, 2011, the guys committed 10 more attacks. Four of the victims died. With each new murder, the criminal couple acted more and more cold-bloodedly and cynically. Artem and Nikita not only showed senseless cruelty during the murders, but also sneered at the bodies of their victims, made video and audio recordings.

Maniacs or complex teenagers?

It was thanks to the personally created evidence of the committed crimes that Lytkin and Anufriev were exposed. The video with bullying over the body of the last victim was accidentally discovered by Nikita's uncle. Almost immediately after the arrest, Artem Aleksandrovich Anufriev began to give confessions. Lytkin did not lag behind his friend either. Young people told the investigators about the crimes that were considered not connected with a series of "hammers". Most of all law enforcement officers were interested in the motives of the young murderers.

Anufriev admitted that he had not experienced any relief from the crimes committed. Lytkin several times changed his testimony on this issue. At first he said that he liked to kill, but only with his friend. Then he stressed that the sense of own importance that appeared after the crime was of great importance. So it turns out that not Artem Anufriev maniac, and his friend - Nikita Lytkin? The investigation failed to identify the exact motives of the criminals. The psychiatric examination recognized accomplices as sane, and they were soon brought to justice.

Trial

The case of Irkutsk "hammers" was transferred to the court only a year and a half after the arrest of the criminals. All this time, interrogations, the search for witnesses, investigative experiments were conducted. During the court hearings, Anufriev changed his testimony several times, kept himself too self-confident, then rolled real hysterics. Before the next session of the court, Artem wounded himself in the neck and abdomen. After some time, the defendant began to complain to all instances. He then talked about the pressure from the investigators, then demanded a change of lawyers. The serial killers were sentenced on April 2, 2013. It was impossible not to notice, in how depressed mood he was expecting Artem Alexandrovich Anufriev. Photos of criminals made in the courtroom, you can see above.

Sentence and punishment

Lytkin and Anufriev were found guilty of committing 6 murders and 8 attacks with serious bodily harm. The sentence for the serial killers was read about 8 hours. As a punishment for Artem Anufriev, the highest measure was chosen - life imprisonment with serving time in a special regime colony. Nikita Lytkin was sentenced to 24 years in prison, 19 of which he must be held in a strict regime colony. The Russian serial killer Artem Anufriev was transferred to serve his sentence in the Vologda Pyatak Correctional Institution, where he immediately became the youngest prisoner sentenced to a life sentence. The exact location of Nikita Lytkin is not known today, most likely he is serving his term in one of the colony of the Irkutsk region.
