Russian festive dish: meat in French with potatoes.

What a Russian person is unsurpassed is in the art of eating deliciously! Therefore, probably, our cuisine is so diverse and so easily adopts the experience of cooks from abroad. In fact, the meal of the prince in ancient Russia could number about 30 different dishes! And it's not just a variety on the table - it was really eaten up and drunk with lots of intoxicating beverages. So in comparison with our ancestors, we generally eat almost ... like the French! Here is the confirmation - meat in French with potatoes has become so established in our country that now Russian housewives can argue with the French women in the art of its preparation.

Why meat in French with potatoes is usually a festive dish? In principle, all the ingredients from which the dish is prepared are fully accessible and used in everyday life. But their combination is just an unthinkable mixture from the point of view of Gennady Malakhov! The dish is very hearty, saturated with fats of all categories and therefore perfectly satisfying the appetite (guests). But seriously, this is really the option when it's easy and easy to feed a large number of people, and everyone will be happy, because one dish contains meat, potatoes, cheese, and sometimes even mushrooms!

Meat in French with potatoes in the classic version is prepared easily: the meat is cut across the fibers and laid out on a baking tray, oiled. On top - onion half rings (it is better to pre-lightly fry it in a frying pan). Then the potatoes are laid out. The problem of cooking a dish is that potatoes in the oven are cooked longer than meat. Therefore, the pieces of potatoes must be thin enough to bake well. To this end, you can chop the tubers on a special grater - you will get thin circles. It is possible and finely chopped. Sprinkle the whole dish with cheese - and in the oven. It is baked at a temperature of 170 degrees, you can increase the temperature at the last minute to get an appetizing crust.

There is another option of cooking - meat in French, a recipe with potatoes and mushrooms. Half a kilo of meat will need 5 potatoes, 300 grams of fresh champignons and as much hard cheese, two onions. All components are laid out on a greased baking sheet in the following order: meat - mushrooms - onion - potatoes - spices - mayonnaise - cheese. The beauty of champignons is that they do not require special treatment before preparing - you can simply rinse them thoroughly and scald with boiling water. Otherwise, all the rules remain: fry the onion lightly, cut the potatoes thinly. Culinary experts claim that the dish received has excellent taste qualities - it is even called the best recipe on one of the sites!

You, probably, will be surprised, having learned, that the true meat in French does not contain as a component of a potato. It's just meat, necessarily beaten, sprinkled with onions and grated cheese. However, in Russia the classic way of cooking has acquired details and here is one of the new masterpieces: meat in French, recipe with chicken. All ingredients are chopped finely. Chicken meat is lightly beaten, salted, seasoned with any spices for chicken and mixed with mayonnaise. Potatoes should also be mixed with a small amount of mayonnaise. And now - attention! - Two options: if the chicken is cooked in the oven, then the first layer should be laid out exactly it, if in the microwave, then first lay out the potatoes. Further everything is according to the scheme: chicken meat, champignons, you can add one more layer - tomatoes cut into slices, and on top of all this splendor - grated cheese. Bake a dish for 30-40 minutes.

Perhaps meat in French with potatoes should already be renamed into something like: a potato-meat casserole with cheese. But it is not the name of the dish that is important, but with what it is served. The French eat meat with red wine, but the Russians have not in vain perfected the recipe - this magnificence can be learned only with a hundred grams of vodka. Bon Appetit!
