Since 1931, Japan produced cars under the Datsun brand. In the Russian market, they were not yet known, but in the eastern countries they were popular. They mostly used them to participate in the rally. In 1986, they stopped producing cars under the Datsun brand.

Since 2013, the production of these cars has resumed. Now they are produced jointly with Nissan. Several new models were aimed at the automotive markets of some countries: South America, Indonesia, Russia, India.

Production in Russia of a vehicle under the brand name Datsun was entrusted to the Togliatti plant. So in the near future a new car Datsun (Avtovaz) will be released for sale in the automotive markets of our country. It is assumed that the Russian model will be based on the platform of the Lada Grant VAZ model, which has the index "2190". Japanese engineers intend to turn the car into a budget subbrand.

Revival of the brand - Indian hatchback

In 2013, the Hatsback Datsun Go was introduced in the Indian market. This is the first model of the revived brand. It was produced by the plant of the alliance Renault-Nissan, located in Oragadam (India).

As mentioned above, if you look closely at the "Datsun" photo, you can see similar features with the most popular brand of domestic cars - "Lada Grant". This car has a common base with another Russian vehicle - Kalina.

According to the manufacturer, the quality of the Datsun assembly is given a lot of attention. The model is developed taking into account the climatic and road conditions of our country. If you look closely at the photo, you can see that the car received a restrained, laconic, modern design of the exterior. So, the front part is decorated with a trapezoid in the form of a false radiator grille. It is enclosed in a chrome edging. On the bonnet cover there are original wavy stampings. In the future, it is planned to produce cars with automatic transmission and expand the line of engines.

What about the cost? According to experts, the price for a budget sedan will start from 380 000 rubles and end at 420 000. Depends on the configuration of Datsun (AvtoVAZ). 2014 prices almost coincide with prices for domestic cars such as Priora, Kalina, Granta and foreign Almera, Logan. Sale in our country will be carried out through a dealer network Nissan.
