The car "Rumster" (Skoda) has come a long way from the day of its presentation in 2003 to the beginning of the serial production in 2006.

Three years have gone to adjust the assembly technologies, and these measures were fully justified - the quality has significantly increased. There was simply no other way, because the platform of the new model consisted of two parts: the front end and part of the body were borrowed from the Skoda Fabia, and the rear part went to Rumster from Octavia. Such an arrangement was quite a responsible process, so it required a jewelry docking of the two bearing elements. In Octavia, the distance between the rear wheels is 7 centimeters larger than that of the Fabia between the front wheels, and the creators of the "Rumster" model used this difference as well as possible, providing the novelty with additional stability when cornering. The advantage of the dual platform is that it was possible to fit the frame to a new modernized body, to vary the length and height of the base, which in turn allowed the upgraded exterior.

Mass production

In March 2006, the car "Skoda Rumster", a photo of which is presented in the article, was shown again at the motor show, this time in Geneva, and a month later its serial production began. The name of the machine speaks of its purpose: room - cozy room and ster - car. With such data, the model corresponds to the category of a family car, but there are some signs that make the Rumster an ultra-modern stylish car, suitable not only for country walks. If necessary, the machine can be used to transport cargo, and in certain circumstances, "Rumster" may well play the role of auto representative class, which, however, is not surprising, because its exterior is quite exclusive.

Exterior

First of all, "Rumster Skoda," the reviews of which speak specifically about the unconventionality of the body design, is marked by a pronounced sporty appearance. The exterior is decorated in a super modern style, with some futuristic proportions. Swift contours, a glazed panoramic roof with a special coating that protects against ultraviolet radiation, wide windows and a windshield as a part of the body - all this creates the impression of the integrity and completeness of the model. In the guise of the car there is something elusively aeronautical, like "Rumster" is about to take off. The contours of the lower and upper parts of the car are connected by a conditional line passing along the lower edge of the rear side windows, to the longitudinal protrusions of the doors and to the ribs of the front wings. The front end in the upper part is a complete horizontal line, uniting the block-headlights.

Lighting technology

The headlamps visually represent a single unit with a chrome upper grille trim.
