The route passes through several regions (Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, Samara, Penza, Ryazan, Moscow). Its length is 1879 kilometers. There are both detours of large cities (Penza, Kuznetsk, Ryazan), and porches (Samara, Ufa).

After the opening of the Ulyanovsk Bridge, drivers drive through the Samara and Penza regions through Saransk-Ulyanovsk-Koshki-Sukhodol. Here the traffic is less busy, but there are few petrol stations and motels.
