The director was born in 1960, July 30, in Houston, Texas. His childhood was spent in the estate of his grandmother and grandfather on the maternal line. After school, he enrolled in the literary department of the University of Houston, intending to become a writer. In the center of the plot is a group of schoolchildren from rich families on the last day of their studies in 1976. In the film, even the little-known actors Milla Jovovich and Ben Affleck were shot.
