Our ancestors knew exactly how to make cheese cakes from cottage cheese so that no one could guess that there is no cheese in them at all. Yes, that's right, cheese cakes not only have nothing to do with cheese, but are not even eaten raw, as it might seem from the name. The thing is that this name comes from the word "sir" - so called cottage cheese in the southern regions of our country, which made it possible to give the dish a second name - cottage cheese.

But the secret of curd men is that there is no universal recipe or basic rules for cooking. It's not even that it is cooked differently in different Russian regions - no, each cook owns his little secrets of craftsmanship, which allows you to create a small miracle of cottage cheese. All of them bring something of their own to their own taste and at their discretion, leaving the only important - the basis.

Do you want to know how to make cheese cakes from cottage cheese so that everyone around you will recognize your food as the most delicious and unusual? It is necessary to take three main products - actually cottage cheese, flour and eggs. The whole secret is to pick the right ingredients - they must necessarily be fresh. Fresh, dense and low-fat cottage cheese, fresh eggs, carefully sifted flour. Mix everything thoroughly, rubbing the "dough" through a sieve, sometimes you can add to it a variety of delicious ingredients - nuts, pieces of fruit and berries, half prunes and dried apricots. Such additives practically do not affect the calorie content of curd cheese cakes , but they add tremendous flavor notes. For flavoring, you can try adding some canned berries, vanillin, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom or pieces of citrus peel to curd.

For the preparation of traditional Russian cottage cheese, you will need to take cottage cheese (250 grams), flour (50 grams) and eggs (1 pc.).
