The puppet theater (Ryazan) was opened in the second half of the 20th century. In his repertoire of staging not only for children, but also for adults. The theater is the organizer of the festival of puppeteers "Ryazan watchmakers".

History of the theater

The puppet theater (Ryazan), photo of the building of which is presented in this article, was opened in 1968. Previously, the troupe worked with the Philharmonic. But in 1968 she began her independent life. Worked artists in the premises of the club "Progress". The theater was headed by Maria Khomkalova.

The theater received its own building in 1982. In 2011, it was subjected to a large-scale reconstruction. Now the building has elegant interiors and modern technical equipment.

Today the puppet theater (Ryazan) actively tours, participates in festivals and forums. He cooperates with colleagues from other countries. Ryazan Theater is one of the five best puppet temples of Russian art. He is known all over the world.

The repertoire of the theater includes performances for both children and adults. This is a fairy tale, and works of classics. Ryazan puppeteers call themselves the theater for children and sages.

The play "... and Punishment" based on the novel by F. M. Dostoevsky "Crime and Punishment" was a five-time nominee for the Golden Mask Award. Directed by Oleg Zhugzda. The role of Rodion Raskolnikov was performed by the actor Vasily Utochkin.

Today the main director and artistic director of the theater in one person is Valery Nikolayevich Shadsky. He created and brought up a beautiful troupe. For his creative life Valery Nikolayevich has staged eighty performances in different theaters of the country and the world. V. Shadsky came to the theater in 1979 and for many years has served him faithfully.

In the troupe there are 19 wonderful actors-puppeteers. Among them are experienced luminaries and young talents. Three of them were awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of Russia". Many actors have awards and diplomas for performing roles in various theater productions.

For most of the performances, music was written by Albina Shestakov. He is a wonderful composer. She was awarded the title of "Honored Worker of Culture of Russia." The beautiful artist Zakhar Davydov works at the theater. This unique master twice became a laureate of the theatrical award "Golden Mask".

Festival

The Puppet Theater (Ryazan) annually holds a festival on its stage. On it the troupes from different cities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and from other countries gather. The name of the festival is Ryazan Watch. In his framework, adult puppet shows will be shown to adults and young spectators . The grand opening of the festival takes place on the site near the theater. His artistic director wishes all the participants good luck, successful performances, and the audience - many new impressions.

The head of each troupe, according to the good tradition, receives as a gift a special package, inside of which there is a "ration of the puppeteer". It includes lemonade "Buratino", cheese "Friendship" and a bottle of "Kuklovodochki."
