Cayenne pepper

Cayenne pepper often grows to 1.5 m. Its stems are green, often bare. The bark is light brown, rough. The flowers are white. The leaves are up to 20 cm long, elliptical in shape, smooth to the touch. Fruiting lasts all year. Fruits - globose or proboscide. There are varieties of pepper with fruits of yellow, red, purple and almost black.

This pepper is used by almost all famous cuisines of the world. It is part of an innumerable variety of sauces, the most famous of which are ketchup and curry. This spice is perfectly combined with vegetable, meat, cereal, legumes and other dishes, which it gives flavor and piquant taste. Cayenne pepper in its chemical composition is not much different from other acute types of pepper. Its fruits contain up to 0.22-0.23% of capsaicin alkaloid, which gives a burning sensation. Also in the pods are piperidine, havicin, carotenoids, fatty and essential oils, vitamins C, B and A. It is interesting that after the collection of pods, the content of vitamin C in them during the first five days increases significantly. This sort of pepper is also rich in iron, calcium, phosphorus, sulfur.

It is able to enhance the therapeutic effect of various medicinal plants. As a healing agent, bitter pepper is valued for its strong stimulating properties, which can increase appetite and eliminate indigestion. This spice stimulates metabolic processes. It enhances immunity, is effective at high blood pressure, reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, dilutes blood, normalizes blood circulation, thus stimulating normal heart function. Cayenne pepper has long been used in diabetes, arthritis, hangover syndrome, asthma, respiratory diseases, kidney infections.

It is famous as an effective tool for strengthening the potency of men. This is due to the ability of capsaicin to increase blood flow in the organs of the small pelvis, to tone up the nervous system, which leads to an increase in potency. Cayenne pepper when used as a food acts as a stimulant, a diaphoretic and a tonic. When applied externally, it improves skin color, enhancing blood circulation in the subcutaneous tissues.

As an external agent, this pepper is used as an irritant and distracting agent in the composition of the patch. Such pepper plaster has the same effect on the body as the traditional mustard plasters. With feverish conditions, arthritis, rheumatism, myositis, radiculitis, the following is used: 25 g pepper, a small ginger root, 1 tbsp. Ginger ground, 2 tsp. Pepper ground black, 2 tbsp. Ground mustard, 300 ml of vegetable oil thoroughly mixed and insisted in the dark. The mixture is used for grinding.
