Protests in Moldova: causes and consequences

The Ukrainian crisis is not the only topic that stirs the peoples of the post-Soviet space. The protests in Moldova are not dying out, which gives hope to the adherents of the Russian world for rallying former citizens into a single fist. Are the inhabitants of this small state trying to resume closer ties with Russia? On what basis do the protests in Moldova develop? What causes them? Let's understand.

A new color revolution?

In September 2015, calm Moldova experienced the newest technologies of organizing popular unrest. People were taken to the streets under various pretexts. It is interesting that the protests in Moldova for some time united the irreconcilable rivals, who differently see the future of the state. Despite the fact that the country is rather small, the political trends in it are developed, the population demonstrates high activity. It is understandable, since people's living standards are low, and the government does nothing to improve the situation. But there is little crisis, which, undoubtedly, affects the population. The society is constantly discussing the direction of the country's development. It is worth noting that there are almost no pro-Russian forces in Moldova. Most seek to take their rightful place in the family of European peoples. But they see the process in different ways. Some want to join with Romania in a single state, others advocate the independence of the country. Supporters of these ideas brought together protests in Moldova. For a while they forgot about their differences.

Anti-Allegorical Revolution

The essence of the people's dissatisfaction was that the wealthy people who are using it in their own interests sit in power. No one thinks about the fulfillment of social obligations. And then the media told that one billion dollars was stolen from the country's budget. This was his significant part. All multidirectional political forces agreed in one thing: power should be changed. The protesters demanded direct presidential elections. The people want to take part in determining the head of state. The current authorities have lost the confidence of their constituents. And one more thing is worth highlighting: the protests in Moldova, whose causes are of an economic nature, led to the emergence of a platform for the solidarity of different forces. However, they are called pro-Russian early. Moldovans think about their country, its development. They want to live in a prosperous state, because in society there is an ongoing debate. People believe that the authorities illegally use their forces, trying to force the Romanization of the country. Because the protesters worked out three points of national salvation. About them in more detail.

Requirements of the protesters

Let's look closely at who the protests in Moldova are against. For this we point out the three points already mentioned. They are as follows:

  1. Elimination of the power of swindlers and usurpers, who lost the trust of the partners of the country. Both the West and the East are already openly saying that Moldova is a captured state.
  2. Termination of the policy of reprisals against dissenters, expressing its opinion.
  3. Immediate cessation of the propaganda of unionism, which is a crime against the sovereignty of Moldova. Its essence consists in the absorption of the country by Romania with the subsequent abolition of statehood.

Protests in Moldova are associated with defending their own independence. People accuse the incumbent authorities of deliberately leading the matter to the degradation of the state in order to abolish it and give the territory under foreign rule.

Initiation of the formation of armed formations

Understanding what is behind the protests in Moldova, one can not draw parallels with similar events in other countries. Color revolutions and the technologies of their organization are now widely known. The puppeteers take advantage of the existing problems in the country to get people out onto the street. Their discontent is deliberately heated through the media and social networks. So it was in Egypt, Syria, in Ukraine. In Moldova, nothing new came up. But her example is indicative of the fact that she demonstrated the man-made problems of the population. They do not arise from scratch. First, people come to power who take anti-people decisions, do not care about citizens. Over time, when the situation strains to the limit, there are activists calling on the people to protest actions. The next point is the appearance of armed volunteers. This also happened in Moldova. True, before the clashes it did not happen. An unknown sniper never appeared. Those who organized the protests in Moldova, volunteers were needed to disguise provocative actions. If there are armed people, then you can kill civilians and blame them. And justified the emergence of volunteers the need to defend themselves from the authorities, who did not shun arrests of the dissatisfied. That is, in Moldova we saw a classic color revolution. But, something went wrong.

The World Crisis

It is necessary to make a small digression to explain what happened in Moldova. The fact is that no one revolution can do without the participation of outside forces. In the patriotic milieu, it is common to blame the US for everything, but the matter is even deeper. The world has actually become multipolar. There are forces in it that lead a brutal war against each other. They are also called Rothschilds and Rockefellers. In another way: some represent the military-industrial complex, others - finance. These clans have the ability to manage virtually all of the resources on the planet. In any case, in the information field they are leading one uninterrupted battle. The roots of both groups are in the West. Both the one and the other at the time of the protests in Moldova, there were many other problems. The platform for the next coup was ready, and nobody could use it. At this time, it was necessary to curtail a more serious economic crisis. Not before small countries were. Therefore, protests in Moldova went almost unnoticed for the main players.

What ended the protests in Moldova

In fact, the opposition forces are not going to surrender. People managed to force the parliament and the president of the country to make concessions. So, in January 2016, there was a change of government. This was a complex process, since no candidate for the post of prime minister was satisfied with the opposition forces. They even occupied part of the parliament building, but retreated under police pressure. The current prime minister and his government represent the same clans of oligarchs as the former. People do not trust them. However, the authorities had to make more serious concessions in order to calm the people. May 22 is scheduled for direct presidential elections. This organized the protesters, and they left for a while from the squares of Chisinau. To understand why there are protests in Moldova, one should look at the country's economy. There things are quite difficult.

Economic basis of the revolution

The Republic of Moldova is an agrarian country. Part of its territory, where the main industrial enterprises were located, is now called Transnistria and is a separate state. Moldovan enterprises realized production mainly in the post-Soviet space. At western neighbors, it was not in demand because of its low competitive ability. With the commencement of the sanctions war, the enterprises of the country began to lose their eastern markets. The political commitment of the authorities played a cruel joke on the economy. They went on about the collective West, leaving their entrepreneurs without selling. But this is not enough. The Moldovan authorities tried to arrange a blockade of Transnistria, which did not find understanding in Moscow. The Kremlin strengthened the response by introducing those who used Russian markets to poverty. The population of the country began to grow impoverished, as the fat did not accumulate. Moldova is in a difficult situation all post-Soviet years. The authorities did not initiate any measures to rectify the situation, which incurred the popular anger. It is worth adding that the western curators to solve the Moldovan problems are in no hurry.

Protests in Moldova for Russia or not?

If one approaches the development of the country rationally, it can be assumed that people really should want to resume the former, even Soviet cooperation. Russia is a huge country, rich in comparison with Moldova. There will be buyers for wine, and for vegetables with fruits. But it's not like that at all. The left forces in Moldova are called pro-Russian forces. They say that they are in favor of cooperation with the East. But people who really want such a little. And they all come from the Soviet Union. Young people look to the West. Propaganda has done its work. People who grew up after Moldova gained independence want European integration. Oppositionists oppose the usurpation of power by pro-Romanian politicians, but they have nothing against the West. The leftists speak more about the revival of social policy, the fulfillment of guarantees by the authorities. Simple citizens, by the way, for an alliance with Russia. They are not afraid to lose power and want to live well, calmly, feel protected.

Positive moments

Despite the fact that the demonstrators have few achievements, it should be pointed out that their struggle was not in vain. The authorities started talking about fighting corruption, agreed to direct presidential elections, changed the policy on tariffs for housing and communal services. That is, the people felt that they could continue to influence the adoption of vital decisions. This, perhaps, the main thing. People have gained a confident position, leaders who will stand up for their defense in the event that the policy that is disagreeable to the majority continues.

Will there be a continuation?

It is likely that soon we will again see reports that mass protests have resumed in the capital of Moldova . The events of 2015 - early 2016 showed that the institutions of power in the country do not have the proper qualifications, they do not cope with the crisis phenomena. For a while the people managed to calm down. Especially since spring does not leave time for peasants, who are feeding from the land, to politics. However, the country's problems are far from being solved. The authorities need to develop a long-term strategy for economic development. Simply put, choose with whom they will trade: with the West or with the East. And for this it is necessary to stand on a pro-Moldovan position, to think about the camp, and not about your own purse and accounts in Washington. While the leaders of the state do not demonstrate this.

Conspiracy theory

It is worth saying a few words about another version. Some political scientists claim that a belt of instability is being created around Russia. Ukraine is a good example. In the same "black hole" tried to turn Moldova. The version has the right to exist. But it seems that the matter is deeper. World rulers decided not just to destroy the Russian Federation. Today they need to tear away Europe from it, to destroy economic ties. It is on this point of view that conspiracy experts stand. They believe that the US economy is falling into a terrible crisis. We need someone to eat to stay for some time. Russia bristled with armed forces, therefore it is inaccessible. The choice fell on the European Union. To destroy its economy is possible only if the Russian Federation does not support a large neighbor. For this, small countries of the post-Soviet space are set on fire.

Conclusion

You know, we can talk a lot about protests in Moldova, the war in Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh . Everywhere there are those who are dissatisfied, who sincerely believe in the rightness of their views. And their activity is used by those who have more money than people. The transatlantic "rulers of the world" are only waiting for the power in the state to weaken, to disrupt it and to squander resources. Because the patriot must not fight the authorities (the way and the bad), but for the country to stand and head to think before taking up arms. And this applies to all countries of the former USSR. Do you agree?
