Lev Schlosberg: biography, activities

The Russian politician, journalist and human rights activist, member of the Yabloko party committee, Shlosberg Lev Markovich became known at the federal level after the publication in 2014 of information about the death of military contractors from Pskov. Investigation appeared in the newspaper, the publisher of which was the author himself. Lev Shlosberg was a deputy in the Pskov Regional Assembly since 2011. In 2015, he was deprived of authority, and in court to appeal this decision was refused.

Briefly about the beginning of activity

The historian graduated from the Pskov Pedagogical Institute named after Kirov. He taught in a special vocational school for juvenile offenders. He served in the missile forces, then returned to his previous work. In private I began to engage in public activities. Perestroika has benefited him.

Schlossberg, Lev Markovich, whose biography was formed from public and political activities, quickly left the growing offenders alone and in 1990 he became the founder and director of the Center for Social Design, where a year later he received the title of social innovator of the USSR.

Also Lev Schlosberg designed a non-state higher educational institution, which he established in 1992. It was called the Pskov Free Institute. Since that time, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees and the Advisory Council of this educational institution. In 1993 he organized and became the head of the Telephone Trust in Pskov.

Policy

Member of the socio-political association "Yabloko" Lev Shlosberg became in June 1994 and since that time he associated his future political career with this opposition organization. Two years later he was elected chairman of the regional branch of this party, at the same time became a confidant of G. Yavlinsky, when he ran for the presidential election. Since 2008, he is already a member of the party's federal bureau.

However, at the December Congress of 2015, Lev Shlosberg lost in the second round and did not become the head of the organization, giving way to Emilia Slabunova. The deputies who represented twenty-eight thousand Yabloko party members who had gathered in the Moscow region elected Slabunov at the insistence of G. Yavlinsky, who, like the other leader, S. Mitrokhin, did not take part in the election of the chairman. This seemed to many media representatives strange, because Lev Shlosberg is surprisingly correctly politically savvy.

Forge

And this public figure, like many other potential oppositionists, was shod in the Moscow School of Political Studies, after which Schlosberg, Lev Markovich, received the Council of Europe's School of Democracy certificate. It happened in the distant 1998.

What is this school? This, of course, is a non-profit and non-governmental organization created in 1992 by the Council of Europe. There, at school, seminars were held at different levels, expert round tables, partnership programs were established with a number of organizations of European countries and the United States.

Where democracy is taught

Over twenty years in these seminars from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad, participated more than fifteen thousand people. The Council of Europe actively supports the School of Political Studies. Now it has grown like an octopus, covering not only the whole of Russia, but also the countries of the former Soviet Union. Many students of this school undergo training and retraining more than once.

So Lev Schlosberg, whose biography was just beginning with the first lessons, was re-trained in the Enlightenment Center of this school in 2003. I remember the words spoken by the honest (or cynical) B. Nemtsov directly to the cell: "Nothing strange." All opposition movements are always funded from abroad. "

In the deputies

After graduating from the School of Political Studies, Lev Shlosberg began to participate even more actively in the social and political life of the city and the region. Since June 2000, he became an assistant to State Duma deputy A. Shishlov, chairman of the State Duma Committee for Education and Science. Since 2006 - co-chairman during the Round Table with participation of all non-commercial organizations of Pskov and the region. In 2007, Lev Schlosberg became a deputy chairman and a member of the presidium in the Pskov regional branch of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments. A year later, he was expected to be a member of the Public Council for the Cultural Heritage of the region.

Simultaneously with this activity from 2011 to 2015 he was a deputy of the regional Assembly, where he worked in committees: deputy chairman in the committee on legislation, local government and economic policy, he was in the anti-corruption commission. Meanwhile, in 2010, five houses were sentenced to death in historic Pskov, four of which are on the list of cultural heritage sites. And this order is not canceled. Those who undertook to protect historical values, sanctioned their destruction, and even gave budget money.

Dima Yakovlev

After the disaster happened with the adopted child from the Pskov region to the United States of America and, during the adoption of the relevant law, the adoption of the law on the refusal to adopt Russian orphans in this country, Lev Shlosberg was naturally against, as was later against the return to Crimea of the Crimea and the opposition of the Donbass to the Ukrainian army. The School of Political Studies has effective methodologies.

Video with the speech of Schlossberg about the law has gained popularity on video hosting Youtube. Comments were most often polar: from "Schlossberg to the presidents" to "He can not now sell kids abroad, so he is indignant." In fact, it would be strange if Lev Shlosberg supported this law.

"The Pskov Gubernia"

Since April 2001, Schlosberg became known as a publisher and journalist, being the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Pskov Gubernia, which he himself established for public funds. Judging by the direction of the publications it is clear what kind of plan this public is. Although at first everything was not so obvious. For the series of publications on the heroic death in Chechnya of the 6th Company of the 104th Guards Regiment of the Pskov 76th Division, the Golden Pen of Russia Prize was awarded in 2010. The author of this series was Lev Shlosberg. The Marines stood to death in confrontation with the Khattab fighters, many times larger than the number. And that's why they certainly loved their country.

In 2011, Lev Schlossberg received another award for the article on an equally thrilling topic. It dealt with the remains of seventy-five thousand Soviet soldiers lying on the Pskov land in the camp of the Stalag-372 concentration camp. However, he never ceased to be a political manager. This was especially evident in the investigation conducted by Lev Shlosberg, about the death of Pskov paratroopers, already others, and no longer in Chechnya, but ostensibly in Ukraine in 2014.

Contracts

In August 2014, "Pskov Province" published a new sensational article. The director of the newspaper was at the time Lev Shlosberg. Pskov paratroopers of the same 76th Guards Division, allegedly killed in Ukraine, were buried quietly, almost secretly, near Pskov, in Vybuty. Soldiers Leonid Kikhotkin and Alexander Osipov were killed under unclear circumstances (these words the newspaper took in quotes, although it failed to prove that they were killed as a result of the "Russian-Ukrainian war").

The publication firmly adhered to this version - were killed, fighting for the so-called Novorossiysk republics against the Ukrainian army. Quotation everywhere consisted of republics and it was Novorossiysk. Immediately there were versions of how this time the Pskov paratroopers were once again betrayed by the army authorities and their native country. As a result, journalists were threatened, not allowed to enter the cemetery and reproached with the enemies of Russia. And Lev Shlosberg was simply beaten when he returned after the labors of the righteous.

The governors

The whole wave rose for quite understandable reasons: the gubernatorial elections were approaching, in which Lev Shlosberg intended to occupy this post. True, despite the completely wild PR, it did not grow together, because it failed to pass the municipal filter - to collect the necessary signatures in the representative bodies. This disappointment did not have time to melt, as it was imposed on him.

The trouble does not come alone: in September 2015 the meeting of the regional Assembly of Deputies Lev Shlosberg was deprived of his deputy powers. And against this decision, only three voted against forty-one. The reason was that the deputies were forbidden to represent in court, and Lev Schlosberg was actively involved in the court proceedings. Still would! Unless you can not defend yourself, if you can say, a native child - "Revival", the very Center for Social Design, established by Schlossberg, recorded in the register of foreign agents!

Snowball from the mountain

Then the events grew in number and quality. In September of the same year, the Commission monitoring the reliability of information on incomes, as well as property and obligations of this nature, which each deputy provides for verification, concluded that the deputy Shlosberg violates the prohibitions and restrictions established by the acts of the Russian Federation. These events are quite fresh, but what will be the final?

And the elected governor A. Turchak stated that for some political forces the opinion of the majority of Russians does not matter. These forces see only the interests of the US State Department, using their instructions literally step by step. He noted that the "fifth column" is present in the Pskov region.
