Product Competitiveness

In the modern world, a stable position in the market of services and goods of any enterprise depends on the level of its competitiveness. The competitiveness of a product is the level of its technical, economic and operational parameters that allow it to compete (compete) in the market with other similar products. In other words, this is the ability of a product to meet market requirements in a certain time period in comparison with its competitors.

Competitiveness of goods is formed by establishing, maintaining and maintaining a certain level of competitiveness at all stages of its existence: from the first stages of its creation and ending with the advancement to the consumer. The assessment of competitiveness is carried out by such entities as suppliers, consumers and experts.

The competitiveness of products is influenced by factors that not only contribute to sustainable production, but also to the organization of highly competitive goods in the market. Such factors can be divided into three groups:

· The quality level of the goods;

· The price of the released goods;

· Provision of service, various types of free services, etc.

Along with competitiveness, the quality of products plays an important role in the development of any modern enterprise . Quality refers to the totality of characteristics and properties of a commodity (or any other object) that give it the ability to satisfy the perceived and conditioned needs. It should be noted that the quality and competitiveness of products are two closely interrelated concepts. Both are a means of evaluating the final results of labor, including its usefulness. Common to the two concepts is the fact that they are dynamic characteristics of the goods, which are constantly changing due to the development of technological progress and social needs. But even in spite of this, it is not necessary to identify these concepts completely, since the competitiveness of the goods is nevertheless determined by the totality of only those properties that are useful to the buyer and ensure the satisfaction of all needs. The remaining characteristics of the product, which go beyond the stated interests, have nothing to do with the assessment of competitiveness.

Recently, you can hear more and more often that the high level of income of the consumer segment can be obtained in the event that the competitiveness of the goods will be increased by increasing its level of quality. Indeed, such a course of production is fully justified, besides, it will contribute to social progress.

It should be noted that competitiveness is a dynamic category, depending on the market situation, the nature of needs and their changes, service conditions, solvency of demand, etc. Thus, high-quality goods can become less competitive in the event that the price appreciably increases due to the endowment of the goods with such properties that do not cause buyers significant interest. Therefore, in order not to reduce production output, and, accordingly, profit, enterprises should often make a decision to reduce prices for quality goods or enter various conditions that allow the consumer to make a purchase in favor of this product.

Thus, to increase the economic sustainability and efficiency of the enterprise, it is necessary to pay more and more attention to the quality of the products, since it allows to ensure the production and promotion of competitive products.
