Primula primrose and its varieties

A large number of people are very fond of growing different flowers right at home. Kinds of primroses

The most common and known species is the primrose stalkless. It is a fairly adaptable to cold plant. So sometimes it can be planted and in open terrain in the cool season. The leaves are presented in the form of a rosette outlet with single large flowers, sometimes even larger than 4 centimeters in size. This species is often called ordinary and planted in gardens and parks, since the primrose begins to bloom in the cold period of time.

Also in a cool room with ease, the Chinese primrose will also get accustomed to its unpretentiousness to climatic conditions. Basically, her cultivation does not take more than two years because of a short period of flowering. Externally, this primate room looks pretty beautiful, representing a small tender inflorescences with a pleasant aroma. In height it grows about 40 centimeters. Negative quality can be considered the appearance on the hands of a slight irritation due to the peculiar composition of the leaves.

Choosing a room flower primrose, you should pay attention to the primrose shiny. It has small hairs on its stems and leaves. In general, it is a fairly bright primrose with red, pink or white flowers, which are in the form of umbrellas on legs. Unfortunately, the period of flowering is not great - from early April to mid-May.

If you need an annual primrose, you can pick up a very common variety - primrose soft. It blossoms from the middle of November to the end of May and has bright small inflorescences with a pleasant aroma on the tall pedicels. These flowers are indoor, primrose was originally brought from China and well established on our territory.

In its appearance, the primrose of the house ear differs from other similar species by the presence of dense and thick leaves. It was originally used in florists and greenhouses, but at the moment, many flower lovers grow her at home. Blossoms only from April to May, gradually separating the lower yellow leaves from themselves (sometimes they have to be cut off by themselves).

Care

Primrose primrose very much loves light, but without direct exposure to it of sunlight. Therefore, it should be kept from the light side of the room. In hot summer time should be taken out to a cooler room. The most favorable temperature for a primrose is 20 ° C, however, at an air temperature lower by ten degrees, it prolongs its flowering period.

In winter, do not abuse watering, because of the large amount of moisture, it can die. And in the summer requires a moderate and regular watering. With increased dryness or humidity, it should not be sprayed in addition: it easily tolerates such external conditions.

Pests

Unfortunately, the primula of the room strongly attracts with its soft leaves a lot of insects. Its main pests are spider mites, aphids and thrips (in the conditions of high air temperature these insects become larger). From their disposal usually use special drugs.
