• Metal channel (8-10 mm is enough).

• Metal angles of 30 or 40 mm.

• Armature (metal bars 10 mm).

• Sheet of iron thickness of 3-5 mm.

• Bolts and nuts.

The potato digger of the rumbling type can not be assembled by hand without special tools and devices. From the tools you will need a Bulgarian, a drill, a welding machine and some other little things (wrenches, hammer, roulette and so on).

Assembling the structure

The potato-digger of the thunderous type, with his own hands, gathers in a certain sequence. To do this, you need to perform several steps.

The first is the manufacture of a frame. For this, the metal corner is sawn into 4 pieces. Two of them should be 120 cm long, and two others - 80 cm. Using a welding machine, a rectangular base is prepared from the pieces.

Next, the jumpers are fixed, on which vertical drafts will be installed to control the equipment. For a quarter of the length of the base of the frame, jumpers must be attached. The shaft for the wheels is mounted on the other side of the frame. The fastener consists of two tubes 15 cm long and 3 mm wide.

After that, vertical stands are installed. For this, two squares are made. They are attached at a distance of about half a centimeter from the edge of the frame from the side of the jumpers. The next 4 cm long stand is set at a distance of 20 cm. After retracting another 40 cm, the pillars with a length of 30 cm are fastened, the posts are joined together by a metal plate.

The second stage is the manufacture of a ral. For this, a metal rectangle 40x40 cm is cut off, holes are made for fastening to the posts. The same sheet of iron is attached to the back. After that, a sheet with a size of 70x70 cm is welded to the first element. With the help of a sledgehammer, it bends into the shape of a cone.

The next stage involves the manufacture of gratings. To this end, rods are attached to the ready-made rails. Their length should be slightly longer than the length of the frame.
