Plastic barrels - mobile and light water carrier

When choosing plastic barrels, first of all it is necessary to determine the conditions in which they will be used. In simple terms, imagine what you need capacity for, what functions it should perform.

There are two main types of plastic packaging - single-layer and multi-layer. Their purpose can be exactly the same - both can store both ordinary drinking water and chemically aggressive substances. Comparing the technical characteristics, several advantages of a multi-layer type can be distinguished.

Multilayered plastic barrels are stronger. This is due to the thickness of the walls and the additional molecular bonds that result from the crosslinking of polyethylene. In addition, multiple studies have shown that multi-layer containers significantly better protect the contents from exposure to ultraviolet rays. The darker the container, the better it protects and the slower the process of penetration of UV rays. That's why most of the leading manufacturers make their plastic barrels, relatively speaking, two-layered. The first layer of black or dark blue color prevents the flowering of water, and in the second (blue) layer, an ultraviolet stabilizer is added, which increases the protection and life of the container.

Plastic barrels can also be used as a water carrier, because drinking water, milk, dairy products, juices, beer wort, wine materials and other similar liquids are perfectly stored in plastic containers. Farmers can use these containers to transport growth stimulants, liquid fertilizers or water to irrigate fields. Among the obvious advantages of such a water carrier is the low weight of the tank itself, which makes it easy to mount / dismantle packagings on a vehicle. This will give the owner the opportunity to use his vehicle as he pleases. A plastic barrel of 200 liters is a very worthy volume for a water carrier. It should also be added that plastic containers are not afraid of large temperature differences - they can withstand heavy loads without significant deformation.

However, it should not be forgotten that standard plastic water barrels are designed for stationary storage of liquids. For transportation, only reinforced containers may be used. When transporting the container must be installed by hatching upwards and must be fixed with bandages on a rigid base. And you also need to follow simple safety rules, because for the damage to the vehicle because of your negligence, the manufacturer will not be responsible. Before unloading, you just need to make sure that the container is free of all liquids and foreign objects. And also make sure that the polyethylene container is lifted only at the bottom. And, of course, before transporting the liquid in a plastic container, you should make sure that your vehicle is suitable for its load-carrying capacity.
