Peter Taegtgren: Biography and Creativity

Change of style

Throughout his life Peter deals with music. He managed to participate and create three groups, and still to be of great importance in the project Lindemann with the leader of Rammstein Till Lindemann. The very first group Hypocrisy was created in 1990, the collective exists to this day. For all its long and fruitful creative activity the group has created a great number of albums. She plays in the genre of atmospheric death metal, is currently very popular and successful project in her country. Hypocrisy gave concerts in many parts of Europe, as well as the United States.

Some time after the promotion of the team Peter decides to do something new and independent. He wants to try to write music in a new genre close to heavy metal. Why not change the concept of the group Hypocrisy? Peter explained this by saying that he does not want to change the genre, because the band is very good without it.

In 1996, Peter's solo project entitled "Pain" was born. All that was in him, was done by our hero himself. He single-handedly recorded instruments, and then reduced them to the melodies of the songs. The project was not very popular. Pain liked only the fans of the group Hypocrisy and some critics. All very quickly forgot about the independent project of Peter. The musician said that Hypocrisy is just heavy music, and in his project a lot is written: from melodic lines to electronics.

After a while Peter Tagtgren released a new album called "Rebirth." He was highly praised now not only from fans, but also from other people, and brought good fame to Peter. "Reincarnation" does not at all resemble the past works of the musician: there is something new and cool sounding here. Peter conducted a very painstaking work on an independent project. After the release of the album, the popularity of the solo album Pain rises high.

Success

Already in 2002, the musician recorded the third album of his project Pain. Lyrics about pain and violence. The album conveys a very grim energy and a sad atmosphere, the same as in past works. The disc sounded so virtuosic, that it was very difficult to believe that this was recorded by a single person. The new album, entitled Nothing Remains The Same, contains the very popular song Shut Your Mouth, which everyone literally heard. This composition kept its position in the top twenty of the best Swedish hits. The music video, which gained no less popularity, was filmed at Peter's house.

"Dance with the dead"

In the CIS countries, Pain's solo project became popular in the spring of 2002, just when the album Nothing Remains The Same was released. Following the results of the eminent German magazine Metal Hammer, this disc was the best in June of that year. Peter Tagtgren toured together with his group Hypocrisy in European countries, including Germany. This was the first series of concerts in Europe, held in the autumn. Three years later, so to speak, came out an addition to the previous album called "Dance with the Dead" (Dancing With The Dead). It is very difficult to single out the best of two albums. It depends on the tastes of each listener of the beautiful solo project Pain.
