Of course, but how else. Well, if these frames are qualified, or even better - highly qualified. Nobody will want to use the services of an experienced lawyer, a builder and, God forbid, get to an experienced doctor. And what is experience? This experience is the time spent on the development of skills, and this time is always considered from the end of the educational institution and nothing else. Can it be a month? - No. Year? - No. 5 years? - Nuu, not a fact. And in this, I completely agree with you. Then the second question: can a specialist of any industry become "experienced" in 20 years? - Yes, you what ?! When did he manage it ?! And again - you are right (about the experience, I'll let myself speculate somewhat later).

Since Socrates, pedagogy sees as the basis of knowledge, this is the pyramid: knowledge - skills - skill - experience - creativity. At the core is always "knowledge" that creates a strong or not, a skeleton for everything else. That's it about this "skeleton", I would like to talk with you. Moreover, in our case, it seems, there will be a "skeleton in the closet" ...

I really wanted to talk with you about what we have today in our beautiful profession, which somehow, in a completely incomprehensible way, ceased to be a working specialty and passed into the category of art. To talk about what always happens in awkward silence - is it decent to discuss art and "masters" (meaning "creator"). Talk - about what everyone knows, but carefully keep silent - about us, gentlemen, hairdressers. About us, dear colleagues - creators or artisans (I do not know who you think you are). Talk about how we teach and learn; About how and where we work; About who we work with. About who in general we are - modern hairdressers ?!

Frankly, the conversation will not be simple and sometimes offensive, even very offensive. Offended for both you and me, because there is no "there" and "here", "they" and "I". There are "WE" - parts of a single whole. Each of us is a small cell of a large and very unhealthy organism, and the disease must be treated. So who if not we? I believe that it is very appropriate in this case, the basic doctrine of pedagogy from Makarenko: "we can educate, only by educating ourselves."

Look at how many ads "a hairdresser is required", placed on the Internet, and in magazines, and just on street lamps. And indeed, the most frequent question with which the directors of salons (or hairdressing salons of all categories address me) "do I have a decent specialist". Notice, not "good", but simply "decent" or even simply - "specialist".

OOOO, what a problem this is! Just a guard!

And EVERYWHERE in Moscow (where the flow of visiting specialists is not weakened and still is not), and in big cities (Novosibirsk, Magnitogorsk, Omsk, Chelyabinsk and so on ad infinitum) and in small ones - absolutely everywhere - "it takes ... it is required ..." Required. " And, all in a row - masters with experience, masters with experience and clients, masters without experience ... A striking story! Especially it affects the one who reads about the opening of courses that teach all kinds of hairdressing specialties almost every day.

They are taught everywhere - at schools, in former houses of culture, in the employment service of the population, in women's clubs of different orientations. They are taught at "courses", in "schools", "art studios" and simply "studios" at salons, in "centers of excellence" and "just like that", too. Some courses are licensed, some are "as if" licensed, some are "not exactly" licensed. All this can be big and small, the heroes are teachers (I, like the parallel to the vaudeville heroes-lovers flashed by myself), can be known to a "narrow circle of amateurs", they are very famous, grandiose for "everyone" or absolutely unknown ... In general , Training international, all-Russian and local significance, sorry for the pun, as "dirt" on our roads - a lot and always! And all this is RABATTA. So, there is a "where" to study, and "from whom" - there is. But the staff for the work, like everything is not and is not, almost like Gogol: "we have three days in Russia download - you do not bother anywhere."

I want to ask the simplest and, at the same time, the most difficult question - "why?". Where do your students disappear without a trace, Lord Teachers?

And to anybody they, in sense, such pupils - "experts" are simply not necessary ...

I travel a lot around the country and I can say for sure that everyone is studying now ... That is, absolutely EVERYTHING! All to whom and laziness, and not laziness. In my opinion, it has become almost like an option that sounds "well, but what else to do ..."

The last 2-3 years, dealerships have been very active in the issue of training, promoting their cosmetics under the guise of training.

So what? Quickly and cheaply (such seminars are often free or cost no more than 500-1000 rubles). As a result of these fast advertising projects, the course of coloring pierced the workshop in 6-8 hours (although sometimes, it's about 2 days, but the technologists manage to perform 3 stains and 2 haircuts - all with explanations), and The course of trichology generally fits in 3-5 hours. From the point of view of a serious teacher, it is disgusting to the taste and often the quality of FAST FOOD from education. However, the masters in their resume write with great pleasure that they "are constantly being trained at brand seminars ... (hereinafter list)."

Colleagues-technologists, I now have a complaint not to you! You are good fellows, and you do your work as you can (sometimes saving hopeless situations), within the framework of commercial necessity and temporary expediency of advertising trips to the regions determined by your marketers (she started from this and she knows that there is a limit to opportunities).

I have a question for you - the master - "and what?". After all, tell me honestly - too lazy to go for something more serious, because not that the money and time as that is a pity (although this too), but just too lazy to think. And the worst thing for you, it's just the right seminars - "workshops with working off" - terrible, because they can make you paint! And I'd rather just sit (quietly) at the seminar (warmly, lightly, cleanly), or even better at the show event (sometimes they even pour ... and not always just tea), then I will bring a diploma (beautiful, bright, sometimes Russian words Even it is written), I will hang one more in a row along the whole wall and that's enough, that's another - to twist your nerves. It is so?! Well, all right, all right, here are all your own! What is the very first and most important question, is asked when inviting to any seminar and in any city? That's right - "Will there be diplomas? And immediately will? ". And it's absolutely true, even if you do not like it.

Immediately after the technologists, they go to the teachers of the master , who for health reasons or because of age , can not or do not want to stand in the salons and work with the client. In my opinion, this is just the most logical and worthy option, in which we can assume that the students are lucky, since experience = work is not just a huge thing, but, perhaps, the most important thing. I myself learned from such a master and believe that the fundamental thoroughness in composing formulas, mathematical and graphical calculations in the development of color schemes, has brought up in me precisely her tediousness.

The only thing, in this case, I would pay attention - to the eyes. Burn or not. Burn, fine - go and scoop with a spoonful all that you can digest! Scoop and do not be lazy to write down, even if the "here and now" information seems to you not necessary or outdated. Do not be lazy, and believe my experience, sooner or later you will get the "same" notebooks with the "same" stories. But if everything is out - run! Flee from her / his cloudy eyes! I, unfortunately, sometimes come across very tired of everything, the age-old teachers, who will not teach you anything except for a graceful mat and drunkenness (you also know such?). Probably, this happens only because of "the highest intelligence" (other reasons, for sure - no), but at the same time, exactly according to Zhvanetsky: "an intellectual values thought and drinking and alternates it. The thought came - we must drink. The thought did not come - we need to brighten up the expectation. " Something like this…

There is one more category of people organizing training - directors of salons (most often former hairdressers, make-up artists, manicurists) who simply "hung" from 20 to 50m2 premises and which can not be attached to the salon due to non-compliance with SES standards. In this case, most often in the teachers is put forward avant-garde looking young hairdresser with a wonderful (stress put wherever you want - all early will be right) external manifestations (clothes, hair color and type of haircuts) - ideal if it is a local technologist of a local dealer and , It's fine if it's a man. There is, however, another option, the master can teach, he participated in several local competitions and entered the prize-winning ten, and then went to Russian competitions and brought a diploma "nominee of the contest" (no, it is possible that there was a prize, I did not I argue). Actually an impeccable candidacy. Frankly, I really do not like such characters in my seminars, because they always require special attitudes, are always late, always openly comment on something in the class (not letting anyone forget that he / she is here), always start "Intimate" with me (as a colleague) over a cup of tea and always condemn everyone (especially those who ask questions). It's sooo not nice.

But fortunately, such "experts" very rarely grant me the honor of their visit, since "what else can I find out ... well, really so ...". And - right! I also think that it is "smart to teach, only to spoil". At the same time, you, the masters, can not even imagine how many of them (such "teachers") come up to me and ask me to work with them separately, for a fee and absolutely for the same program. Sitting next to you, they are simply afraid to give out the biggest commercial secret - the quality and level of their knowledge. But, even so, I still think that it's "smart to teach, only to spoil" ...

Even if, despite the fact that this scribbling does not show that I'm intelligent and, in general, not an evil person, believe me, I suffer from all of the above just like you! How many wonderful, correct, gifted and sick for their work teachers I was lucky to meet in different cities of Russia - not to retell. They are, in truth, chosen by God in order to give students mastery in hands, love for work and bring up beauty in them. Sometimes, such people unite together, and an excellent and strong team is obtained (I have wonderful examples and I am proud of the friendship and work with them), sometimes these are almost "blessed" singles who fight with provincial and human stagnation and defeat it (I adore you Martyrs of conscience). There are a lot of them, but it's a drop in the sea, against the backdrop of the disgrace that happens.

And, however, do not believe me, colleagues, it's not so scary.

Also, one of the problems of our business, I read that in our profession, on the stupidly massive scale (both among the teachers and in the circle of just practicing hairdressers), the categories of "experience" have drastically shifted.

Example. I'm going to the subway in the city of N (so you know, not only in Moscow there is a metro) and I read advertising, quite recognizable in this city, courses for hairdressers, manicurists and make-up artists: "classes are conducted by experienced teachers with experience of 2 years". And, in fact it's not just a statement of fact - 2 years, it's ALREADY 2 years !!! Do you feel the difference? It's good, if before learning such "rabid" experience, the little man learned at a decent college-type institution (I would advise you to look for something left from the Soviet Union) where the education is still old-fashioned and on average runs from 2.5 to 4 Years of everyday attendance (although I am known to places where after college go to private hairdressing courses and learn from scratch). But this person, most likely, graduated two-year courses (moreover, this is a maximum) with training for 3-4 hours 3 times a week or in general - on a free schedule, and taught him exactly the same master with "already 2" years of experience.

However, there is another option - the experience of the teacher was 25-30 years old, and the knowledge obtained from him is still based on the textbook of the 68th edition, the hairdo "Olympic Dove" and a couple of presentation seminars, a visiting technologist who, despite that , Which was positioned in advertising, as "Moscow", still finished the same courses. Simply, he was not much luckier and he "got" "in the right place and the right time."

In S city, one of my students, who by the way became a master-manicurist, hairdresser and almost a stylist (she did not study anywhere) for 4 years, became a technologist of a local dealer of the same brand. Strongly bored in all these hypostases and to "at least somehow" have fun - very aggressively began to claim the status of a regional technologist. And she did it. After I once had to repaint after her 3 models to a series, I asked her a question - "how do you teach people that?" You yourself do not know how to do anything "- she answered me in a calm voice -" but why should I do it? " I only give instructions "... And yet, do you think that her Moscow employers are not in the know? Very much…

And in Moscow, I very often come across the fact that young technologists, in general, never worked in the salon or worked very long time, so to speak at the "dawn of their career" (year 1.5-2, more then it is not necessary), some Of them even their clientele do not have, except those of the firm's staff! How can they go and teach the professional "life" of masters with live practice in their hands? How can they even teach. Advertise the product - yes. But teach ?!

In the city of NN, at a certain higher educational institution, all of which have been renamed (after the reforms of 2000) into universities (in this case it is the University of Service and, it seems, of tourism), decided to open a department for hairdressers. That's how it is like that, sat down and thought - seamstresses (sorry - fashion designers) they have, managers for tourism - too, even from the heels of chairs of different focus, but the hairdressers - no. Who, how not to give them higher education to hairdressers (they asked themselves) ?!

By the way, as a hairdresser with a "higher special education", which sounds like a "hairdresser-fashion designer, a master of industrial training" and a graduate of one of the best colleges in the country, it would be awfully interesting to know - what will be the specialty that the university entrants will receive?

But now (apparently) is not about that. No sooner said than done. They bought a sink (terribly ridiculous and uncomfortable, it is immediately evident that he bought a manager, not a professional master.) But, apparently with a big discount, because such a sink could not be sold for 5 years already, they put chairs, fixed mirrors, And start, but ... Does not suffice one little thing - the teacher. They sat down again, thought again and decided - why give the "staff unit" to the side when there is a trusted and pleasant person in our department at the department of "seamstresses" who, besides, after all, will retire soon (in 4 years) ...

I know this story, only because "this lady" was sent to me to learn the subtleties of staining (4 days), the basics of trichology and materials science (2 days), and then another 5 days of practice. I learned how I could. For the sake of truth, I must say that earlier (that is, "before" me), this lady was trained on semiannual courses and therefore the technique of applying the dye to her hair, she, in general, then owned.

And do not even dare to doubt that here this educational institution, for 100%, has an unlimited state license.

Dear colleagues, the real horror is not that the market for training is dominated by such "characters", but because it makes it practically impossible for good and very good teachers to work.

Masters, even those who are ready to learn and invest in themselves time and money, have suffered so much from bad or "empty" seminars that they simply do not believe anyone and nothing. I do not know whether you represent it or not, how difficult it is to prove that you really have something to learn, that it is not your fairy tale that was your "merit", but that your hands, your knowledge and your head will cost time and money . It's very difficult - as a professional teacher I say so. We have to fight with irony, anger, pathos, star pride pride, so that at the end of training the same people come to you and say "thank you" from the bottom of my heart, finally "my mother began to consider me a real professional" (this is a quote from a review One of my students, whom I consider to be the highest praise).

It's difficult, very difficult ... And even harder, to retrain, especially after fast food. But nothing, we manage - in proportion to our modest forces.

In addition to all the above, I believe that there are still a number of problems , probably - objective (it is difficult for me to understand and even more difficult to accept), which also do not make the situation with education better for hairdressers. This means that the subsequent mastery also does not improve in quality.

The first and , in my opinion, the main reason is that the system of appropriation and confirmation of "qualification categories" is almost completely lost - a master of wide profile; Master 3, 4, 5 level; Hairdresser - fashion designer, etc.

In the good old days, there was a list of works that were required to perform a hairdresser, claiming to be assigned to a particular category. Before passing the qualification examination (this event took place in my college once a year), intermediate exams were required, for all types of works from such a list. If the "fashion designer" did not receive the highest qualification for a practicing specialist during the training, then it was possible to try it only on "long service", that is, people with proven experience of at least 5 years were allowed to qualify.

I emphasize, with the confirmed experience! And not so much that "I worked as a hairdresser for 1 year, then I went to the decree for 5 years, and now I have six years of experience ...". Are there no such people around you? I have students who returned from the decree in 5-7-10 years (and once, it was generally a period of 20 years!), While the experience (for some reason) is ALWAYS indicated in view of this time. Why not - because she also "cut" - my mother, husband, child, mother-in-law and 2 girlfriends. And what in the end? I (and absolutely everyone else), within the framework of commercial training, working on a course of "advanced training" I have neither the right nor, frankly speaking, commercial expediency, to negotiate the length of my students.

Of course, this is completely unfair, in relation to mature and experienced masters with real experience and craft in their hands, which, in fact, stand in a single "time list" with masters "for 2 years", or with the masters with this " Blown "experience. But what can I do ?! There is no solution to this situation. Here simply is not present - and all. And, in my opinion, will not be, until the system of special education, the one that used to be called vocational school (vocational school, which conducted training on the basis of 8 classes out of 10 and was called "intermediate-special") or the Technical school (education Was made on the basis of 10 classes and was considered a prestigious "higher special", besides, the diploma of the technical school gave the right to admission to the profile institute = university, immediately for 2 or 3 years) will not be restored, and most importantly - clearly and strictly regulated.

Of course, what's there to be cunning about, such regulation will close a nutritious feeder for specialists like me. But at the same time, I would like to work with such great pleasure in such a technical school and, just as in my time, my teachers would be proud of their students, for whom the employers stood in line (that's the way it was with us). Would be proud, because they would have a "top quality" sign, confirmed by deeds, not a colored paper hanging on the wall.

By the way, it's this argument that I try to bring to the masters who passed my training and are not happy with the fact that "why they also gave her a diploma, and yet she ...". It's not paper that works, hands work. I understand that the client (especially the provincial) reads the inscriptions on the pictures, called "diplomas" or "certificates" (both names are admitted to use), but then what? Only your work, your talent, your perseverance and your "creative restlessness" will force the client to come back to you again and again - many years in a row. Only so, and in a piece of paper I (and many others) will write to you everything you want.

By the way, do you want a funny and completely real story as the brightest, almost popular, example to the word about "statuses" and "diplomas"?

Training in the city of NNN - advanced training course (12 days). One of the students on the theory (it's 5 days) was always dozing (which usually does not bother me), but in practice it was only 3 out of 6 days, at the same time, 1 work was actually done. To tell you the truth, despite the fact that I have a reputation for a terrible "bitch who mocks his disciples, screaming, swearing and even beating them ..." (do not believe me, I do not speak the language of Satan, besides, everything can not be Truth), I react very calmly to this behavior, because I sincerely believe that "as long as they (or you?) Are so poorly trained, specialists like me, work in the market for another 20-25 years will suffice" .

But, closer to the point, at the end of the training, I informed this student that she would not be qualified for the qualification. She sobbed, however, took all the diplomas and left, because she realized that there were simply no other options. After a couple of hours, the director of that wonderful salon, in which the aforementioned student had the happiness of "serving", phoned me on the mobile. In the phone I was asked 15 minutes "Who am I?", "Where is my money?" And something else rather piquant ... At first, I tried to explain to the heated and quite rightly outraged lady the situation, but the questions were repeated again and again , And the degree of conversation increased. After a while, I just got tired of it (you see, it's hard to condemn me), besides, I realized that they just do not hear me, and, most importantly, they do not believe me, believing that I have slandered a person. Then I recognized my wrongness and promised to write a diploma, which can be taken at any time convenient for them.

You do not know me well if you decide that I have resigned myself. Not-a ... I wrote out a diploma, assigning a qualification that sounded like a "super mega top stylist", but I entered the data of this most expressive directrix in the lists of the admissions committee, and put myself in the very last place. All: signature, seal. I'll tell you frankly, I was waiting for a scandal, and - grandiose ...

No, it was not. Have taken. And they did not even wince. And now in the city of NNN, a specialist works with this qualification - the diploma hangs in the frame, on the wall, I saw it with my own eyes ...

In general, I paid attention to the fact that the younger the master and the less seniority, the vignette looks like his business card and the specialty indicated in it - a stylist, image maker, at the very least - a hairdresser-stylist, and as an absolute apotheosis - "maestro". And, often all this instead of the surname and its real name. Pop-old! On the other hand, what time, such and "old" ...

I can explain why many specialists, especially those formed in the era of "prehistoric materialism" (that is, at the end of the last century) do not allow themselves such. Yes, not clever ... That's just not clever and that's it. Besides, in the official list of specialties approved by the Russian pension fund there is no such specialty as "stylist" (and even more so americanism image maker "), besides, we do not have specialized educational institutions that train such specialists in the system and in real life (If such groups are created, it is not often). So, that "stylist" is most often your own fantasy, the lining of which is always either your own pride, or the commercial component of educational institutions (I, by the way, are also a sinner-I teach and appropriate, although personally, despite 4.5 years in College, 17 years of experience and Ph.D. in history of fashion, this status has not earned, and itself as it is not clever ...).

In general, I was fortunate enough to find in the prime of life many representatives of what can be called "the old guard." Some of them are alive and still active, some have already left their work, and some are no longer with us (rest, Lord, their souls). Look at their business cards. Modest and surprisingly not verbose. None of them, even a second will come to mind, put next to him at least some pretentious or pretentious word. Here it is - class. Highest class! The second reason, which complicates the training, is that today a complete mess and confusion reigns in what can be called a "pedagogical training method".

In my opinion, there are not many reasons.

- Not all teachers and even more so, technologists, were lucky (or in general - it occurred to me) to listen to the course of IGOs (pedagogical teaching methods), and therefore there is no understanding that any seminar (large or small, training or presentation) Based plan - for example, "hourly." If, however, the training is designed for several days, then the plan must also be "pourochny". Any methodologist knows that this is not just a name from a brochure, but actually a "synopsis" of the whole day of training, painted daily and every minute. This helps to correctly allocate time for studying each topic, allows you to avoid unwanted pauses, as well as "crumpled", hasty explanations, and most importantly - helps to logically correctly build the entire learning process smoothly and naturally moving from one topic to another. This is primarily important for students, so that knowledge is better absorbed. And you can only learn what is logically and logically built.

To improve the assimilation of the material, it is ideal to have a "handout", a standard or specially designed for the course is not so important. I would encourage the teaching people, learn from merchants - dealers. Oh, they know for sure that if a person does not scribble at least a cross on the margin, a preprinted prospectus with a catalog of products, he did not think he was at the presentation, which means he will not buy anything.

And what do we do? Or rather, why do not we do it ?!

After all, masters who have lost the experience of writing letters in words because they have been studying in school for a very long time (and not always successfully) (no one is writing by hand now), they simply do not have time to outline the fast and, Too free speech of the teacher (and if it is also to the same and devoid of logical connectives ...). But even the correctly said thesis after their free reduction, can turn into a complete pseudoscientific nonsense. I faced this at the very beginning of my teaching practice and was shocked! Now I have developed manuals for each seminar, in which some of the text is imprinted, and some of the text is carefully entered into the dictation and behind this, I'm very closely following. If to my question, students respond too freely or not correctly, I force them to find in the notebook the answer written by their own hand and just read it out loud. The success of such a technique is incredible! Understanding comes almost instantaneously, and, moreover, on a massive scale. I must say that in fact, the only requirement for my students for the entire period of study is to know the contents of the notebook = methodical manual, or rather, what and where it says. I do not believe that an adult who is burdened with worldly problems, you can teach in 3-5-7 days to think and analyze "in principle" or, at least, not as before. In addition, our profession is based on practical applications of the knowledge gained, and not on demagogic word-shaking of the air.
