At the moment, many watch the player such as Patrick Roberts - the young wagon of the attack line impresses with his game of absolutely everyone. Many believe that in 3-4 years he will become the new star of English football. But so far, Patrick Roberts is just a teenager, who has to go through a lot to achieve his goal. But what is left behind the player's shoulders? What did he pass and achieve?

Patrick Roberts was born on February 5, 1997 in England, where he at an early age began attending the football academy "Moseley Juniors". From there, he soon moved to the academy of the club "Wimbledon", where he was until 2010. When he was 13 years old, Patrick caught the eye of the scout, who invited him to go to the system of the famous club "Fulham". Naturally, the boy agreed, and Fulham had a new rising star.

In 2014, when Patrick turned 17, he signed a professional contract with the club and managed to spend only two games for the rest of the season. After that, "Fulham" flew to the Championship, which gave the young player a chance to show himself. In season 14/15, he played 20 matches, which proved to be better than attracted the attention of scouts of the strongest clubs. And then a miracle happened - in the summer of 2015, the club received a crazy proposal. One of the strongest clubs in England, "Manchester City" was ready for an 18-year-old player to give 15 million euros. Naturally, "Fulham" agreed, and Patrick Roberts could not believe his happiness - he became a player of "Manchester City"!

Six months in the new club

However, it is unlikely that anyone was building any illusions about the fact that the young player will immediately break into the main part of the club and begin to get there gaming practice on a permanent basis. But the fact that in the first half of the year Patrick Roberts, a footballer who was considered one of England's top young talents, played only three games, could not please anyone. Therefore, in winter, the most reasonable decision was taken - the young talent will be sent for rent. Scottish FC "Celtic" agreed to accept it.

The lease agreement is designed for a year and a half, that is, Patrick Roberts will play for the Scottish club until the summer of 2017. The second half of season 15/16 finally allowed the player to get much needed practice - he played 13 games, in which he beat six goals.

Now the management of "Celtic" hopes that Roberts will spend the whole season on the same, or maybe even more impressive level. But so far the result is not as striking as it was at the end of the previous season - the 19-year-old player entered the field 11 times in different tournaments, but scored only one goal and scored two assists. But this is only the beginning - it is quite possible that in the near future Patrick will find his game again and will show great football for Celtic.

The likelihood that in this case he will remain in the "Celtic" for good, is extremely small, since "Manchester City" will only be pleased with the new talent. But do not hurry yet - it remains only to watch how the young player develops, and hope that one more star will appear on the horizon of football.

National team appearances

To date, Patrick Roberts is 19 years old, and he has never been called to the national football team. So far, he continues to speak for the England youth team. Most recently, he was transferred to a new age category - up to 20 years. There he had already played three friendly matches against the teams of Brazil, Holland and Germany in the same age category. The first match ended in a draw, and the other two - victories, while Roberts in the game with the Dutch scored a scored goal.
