What is organza?

It really is a weightless, transparent, but at the same time tough and durable fabric. It is made of viscose, silk or polyester. The technology of its manufacturing is based on the method of twisting two fibers of these materials. That's why it has a silvery sheen and shimmers in the sun.

To obtain such an effect, its threads are specially processed, which is a very complicated process. In addition, the threads themselves must be without flaws, transparent, thin and strong. Even from artificial fibers it is not so easy to get such a thread, but from natural and even more so. Therefore, before organza was very expensive, because it was made only of silk or viscose, and this is very expensive materials.

Now in most cases it is made from polyester synthetic fibers (polyester). That is why modern organza is a fabric, the price of which is much lower, which made it so accessible and popular.

In addition, and many properties, she is obliged to polyester. It does not crumble, does not burn out, is very strong, and also has excellent light and air permeability.

Types of organza

This transparent fabric can be either matte or shiny. Today, a very effective look has an organza tissue. The description of its processing includes many ways. Does ironing require an organza? This fabric even when washing does not practically crumple, but if you want to iron it, you need to choose the silk or synthetics mode on the iron without using humidification.
