In this medicine "Streptocide" (powder), the application of which, as a rule, gives good results, is introduced into the wound cavity. At the same time, the patient is prescribed antibacterial drugs. Skin diseases are treated both by rubbing ointment (liniment), and by sprinkling powder.

The drug "Streptocide" (powder), the use of which can be shown in acute and chronic rhinitis, was previously prescribed to be drawn into the nose during inspiration or blown into its cavity with a special device mixed with penicillin, ephedrine and norsulfazole. However, in view of the inconvenience of such treatment for the patient, Sunref is now more often used, an ointment whose composition is almost identical: it includes streptocid, sulfadimezin, norsulfazole and ephedrine. The "Sunorep" medicine smears the nasal mucosa three times a day - it has not only antimicrobial, but also anti-inflammatory, and vasoconstrictive effect.

The drug "Streptocide" (powder) with angina is used as follows: take a small amount of it on a clean, dry spatula and gently poured on the tonsils. After this, you need to try a few minutes not to do swallowing movements. The drug "Streptocide" in tablets is simply absorbed 2-3 times a day, immediately after the rinsing of the throat. Using the drug "Streptocide" in angina, you can get a good therapeutic effect, but today, in connection with the emergence of new antibiotics of a wide range of action, this method of treatment is used less and less.

It should be noted that the debate about the appropriateness of the use of the drug "Streptocide" in this or that dosage form has been going on for a long time. Today the scope of its application has significantly narrowed and the use of this tool in many cases is recognized as inexpedient. At the same time, on various forums on the Internet you can find stories of users about how this drug helped them effectively and quickly cure various diseases. Some even argue that the replacement of the drug "Streptocide" with antibiotics of the new generation is nothing more than the intrigues of pharmaceutical companies, which are disadvantaged by the presence on the market of an effective and at the same time cheap medicine.

However, do not forget that during the application of this product, as well as most sulfanilamide preparations, serious side effects are possible. Among them - nausea, vomiting, severe diarrhea, headache, leukopenia, agranulocytosis. The drug can also cause allergic reactions, up to dermatitis. For this reason, the drug "Streptocide" in any dosage form can not be used in the treatment of children under 3 years old, as well as pregnant and lactating women. It is prohibited for use in diseases of the thyroid gland, kidneys, blood and blood. With prolonged use it is necessary to periodically give blood for analysis in order to prevent possible complications. Therefore, most experts still opt for modern antibacterial drugs, although the final decision, of course, remains with the patient.
