On which continent is China? The most densely populated country is the largest continent

The phrase "made in China" in recent years has acquired a fundamentally opposite meaning. Relatively recent low-quality handicrafts of Chinese production were replaced by high-quality and high-tech equipment, and China itself again found itself in a cohort of great powers and dictates conditions no longer to its region, but to the whole world.

The first in the world

Since then, as there is a human civilization, the name of this country has constantly surfaced in connection with the achievements of this very civilization. If at some stage of development the invention arose, one could not doubt: the primary sources of the invention should be sought in China. According to historical data, the American continent was inhabited by people from this region who traveled to the northeast and whether on the ice, or crossed the existing isthmus from Asia to America. When the Europeans drew the first maps, they not only did not know which continent China is on, they even did not hear the names of such a country.

Mediators between the prosperous eastern civilization and the emerging European was Persia. Persians also suggested that if you move at sunrise, you can find out the answer to the question, on which continent is China.

The Great Silk Road

The conquests of Alexander the Great increased the knowledge of Europeans about the world of that time. They learned that Persia is not the end of the world, Persian silk is simply resold to Europe, and the silk manufacturer - China - is in the east. Goals of the aggressive campaigns of Macedon - India and China - were never achieved. But the foundations of the Silk Road (from the East to the Mediterranean), which was not yet Great, but only originated, appeared in the second century BC. The "Golden Age" of this transport highway of precious cloth fell for the period from the sixth to the ninth centuries AD, when wars did not shake Asia. It would seem that with the establishment of the Mongolian Empire on the territory of the entire Great Silk Road, the volumes of trade must soar. This happened for some time, but with the collapse of the Mongolian Empire, references to this highway also disappeared.

Before and after Genghis Khan

The Chinese empires were built, disintegrated, then again, like the legendary bird Phoenix, recovered from the ashes. They were conquered by external invaders, they exploded under the influence of internal tension, but again and again proved their worth. The great conqueror Genghis Khan understood that, no matter how vast the territories he did not own, the main jewel of his empire would be China, which was divided at that time into two states. He conquered these states one after another and transferred these lands to the most worthy heir. Without the help of the specialists of this country with a higher level of development, which formed entire engineering regiments, the brilliant aggressive campaigns of the Mongols would be impossible. But the empire of the greatest conqueror disintegrated, and China, whose rulers assimilated with the local population, once again began to rule in their region.

Already after the conquest campaigns of Genghis Khan the Europeans did not just understand that China is in Asia, but also decided to find a way to this country. Marco Polo visited the summer residence of the Mongol emperors and lived in this country for more than three years. But, in addition to confidence in what continent is China and new words (for example, tangerines) that easily entered the European vocabulary, this trip of the Venetian merchant for the development of relations between East and West did not yield anything.

The change of name does not change the essence

After the fall of the empire of Chingizids, and until the twentieth century, China remained an empire. First, under the supremacy of the Ming dynasty, and after its overthrow by the next Mongols - the Manchu invaders - the main was the Qing dynasty. After the first round-the-world trip, the Europeans finally learned on which continent China is located. Since the sixteenth century, the sea expeditions of Europeans began to the east, because at the confluence of Europe with Asia appeared the Ottoman Empire, which prevented possible contacts by land routes. Parts of China were conquered by the Portuguese, the British, the whole country was subjected to occupation by Japan. Since 1912, the country of the empire has become a republic, and since 1949 - a people's republic. Under the leadership of the great helmsman Mao in a country with a historical commitment to the imperial style, communism was attempted. In our time, the name of the state has not changed - the People's Republic of China. But under this name is hidden all the same "Celestial Empire".

Cartography

If you look at the map of the world that is familiar to us, you pay attention to the fact that Europe and the European part of Russia will be located in the center of the map. The rest of the countries are on the sidelines, as if they are insignificant. Maps created in America, the central axis, naturally choose America. In this case, Eurasia under such a projection is often broken into two parts. But the map of the world, published in the largest state of Asia, will never give rise to doubt on which continent China is located - on the largest, in Eurasia. And, although the country's territory is much inferior in size to the Russian Federation, maps issued in the Middle Kingdom remove all doubts about the main country in the world.

Moscow Consonance

It is not worth looking for in the question "where is China-city?" References to the ancient Eastern civilization. Although the origin of the name of this Moscow region has not yet been established, it is known that there is nothing to do with the eastern country, the Chinese did not yet live during the appearance of this district in Moscow.
