Of course, since the release of this model (and this is the last decade of the previous century) has passed more than enough time. The realities of the mobile phone market have changed radically, the smartphones that are radically different from their ancestors in appearance, hardware, and use possibilities have become the leaders. Not without cost. But the fact remains: at the time of publication of the subject of our today's review, competition could not have been made by many models.

Features of the appearance of the Nokia 8110

If we talk about the dimensions of the device, then they are as follows. In height, the apparatus reaches immediately 141 millimeters. It is a lot of. In width - less, only 48. Well, the thickness of the mobile phone is 25 millimeters. Even by the standards of those years, such indicators were significantly overstated, but still the device was quietly placed in the side pockets of trousers and pants. And since the requirements were almost completely different, the only significant drawback when buying a Nokia 8110, the photo of which you can find in the article, was precisely the size of the tube. Active people who spent their day in constant movement (as well as lovers of outdoor activities) were simply forced to pass by this model, making their choice in favor of other devices of the Finnish manufacturer, or even buying the devices of other companies. During the dance, the phone could easily slip out of the "shelter" because of its large size. There were, of course, ways to solve this problem. One of them is the purchase of special cases with strong attachments. But they also cost, respectively. It was inconvenient to take the device and to the cinema.

By the way, after opening it, you can fix it in two different positions. In the first of these, the user will have access exclusively to the function keys. In the second, however, all buttons will be open for use.

Back side

On the back of the Nokia 8110, the review of which we bring to your attention, you can see two miniature tracks. This is really nothing more than contacts that are stretched directly to the dynamics. Their designers for some reason did not cover. If we assume only theoretically, the conclusion suggests that these components can be damaged by physical or mechanical influence. Nevertheless, many tests of the phone ended without such excesses. The cover can be moved relative to the housing. At the same time, it will move along components that have been nicknamed users "rails". Here, one more oversight of the designers is immediately revealed. When dirt gets into the "rails", the movement of the lid on them becomes noticeably heavier. Nevertheless, this solution will be more practical than the opening cover, which was widely used in a whole range of products from Ericsson. The fact that the mechanism over time is not so much blurted out, which provides a smaller percentage of breakages of such a system.

Microphone Location

This element is located right inside the lid, in the lower part. To protect it from mechanical external influences, the designers added a special plastic plate to the design. Interestingly, even with such an approach, audibility remains at a high level. The form of the device allows you to negotiate conveniently and comfortably without moving the phone during the call process. The effect of the barrel, by the way, is completely absent in the device. And for this, we should thank the developers of the phone, who foresaw the possibility of a corresponding problem and timely carried out the work to eliminate this shortcoming.

Keyboard Features

This elementary part in the phone is made simple, but it provides comfort in use and has a good functional load. The buttons here, it should be noted, are not small, but very large. Designations can be read even by a person with not very good eyesight. Another advantage is the fact that they do not practically melt over time. Cope with such a phone will not only be able to be an adult, but an ordinary child. For the answer you can use absolutely any button.
