Nemozol, instructions for use

Nemosol refers to anthelmintic pharmaceuticals. The drug is a derivative product of benzimidazole carbamate.

Nemosol, the instruction indicates, selectively inhibits the polymerization of beta-tubulin. As a result, the cytoplasmic microscopic tubules of the cells that make up the intestinal tract of the worms suffer. Therefore parasites perish. In addition, under the influence of Nemozol, the active substance of which is albendazole, the biochemical reactions inside the helminth organism change, namely: glucose utilization is abolished, the synthesis of ATP is inhibited, the transport of secretory granules and some other structural units of the muscle cells of the roundworm is blocked, which leads to its death .

Nemozol, instructions for indications

The drug is prescribed for helminthic invasions, even with nematodes:

  • With neurocysticercosis, caused by the larva of the pork chain;
  • With echinococcosis of the liver, peritoneum, lungs, caused by the larva of the canine tapeworm;
  • With surgical intervention for the purpose of treatment of echonococcus cysts;
  • With ascariasis;
  • Trichocephalosis;
  • Ankylostomidosis;
  • Enterobiose;
  • Non-caranosis;
  • Strongyloidiasis;
  • Opisthorchiasis;
  • Microsporidiosis;
  • Toxocarose;
  • A lambliasis;
  • Helminthiases of mixed form.

Nemozol, dosage instructions

Tablets are not chewed before ingestion. The doctor appoints the medication after or during meals. The tablet should be washed with water. Additional therapeutic measures, such as taking a laxative, specially designed diet, is not provided.

It is recommended to treat all members of the family. The dose is calculated based on the patient's body weight, taking into account the type of parasite.

Nemozol, dosage instructions for children under 2 years of age

With cysticercosis localized in the brain, the recommended dose is about 15 mg per kg per day, treatment is calculated for 8 days.

With ankylostomiasis, enterobiasis, ascariasis, the required volume is half a tablet of the drug "Nemozol 400", which means that 200 mg with a single dose, after 3 weeks, repeat.

When strongyloidosis or cestodiasis, the recommended dose is half a tablet of nemozole 400, which means 200 mg. The tablet is swallowed a day 1 time, the treatment is calculated for 3 days.

Nemozol 400 for children aged 2 years and for adults

With neurocysticercosis and echinococcosis patients with a weight of 60 kg of recommended volume of the doctor sets 400 mg twice a day. Patients weighing up to 60 kg daily dose are calculated by the formula - 15 mg per 1 kg, the daily norm obtained is divided into 2 doses per day. The maximum allowable daily dose is determined in an amount of 800 mg. The doctor prescribes treatment for neurocysticercosis lasting from 8 to 30 days. With established echinococcosis, the course is calculated for 3 cycles, each consisting of 28 days. Between them they make a break for 2 weeks.

With ascariasis, trichocephalosis, enterobiasis and ankylostomiasis, one tablet is swallowed 400 mg tablet.

When strongyloidosis and cestodiasis, a daily dose of 400 mg of Nemosol is administered once, the treatment is calculated for 3 days.

With giardiasis, the doctor prescribes a daily dose of 400 mg once, the therapy is designed for 3 days. The dose can be determined as 10-15 mg per 1 kg. Take 1 time daily, treatment is calculated for 5-7 days.

When toxocariosis is established for adults, children from 14 years of age weighing more than 60 kg, Nemozol 400 is prescribed once a day. At a weight of less than 60 kg is attributed 200 mg of medicament. For children under the age of fourteen, the dose is calculated at 10 mg per kg; Break reception at 2 times a day. The course of therapy is 7-14 days.

Nemosol for the prevention of infection with worms is not prescribed because the drug causes a large number of side effects.

Patients can complain of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, painful spasms in the head, dizziness. Occasionally, doctors observed meningeal symptoms, oppression of bone marrow hematopoiesis, manifestations of granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, pancytopenia.

There were violations in the work of the kidneys, acute renal failure, allergic symptoms in the form of rash and itching. Indices of body temperature or blood pressure may fluctuate.
