"S-Crosseur Citroën" - a new generation crossover from the famous French concern

A few years ago, the French company Citroen decided to release the first in its history crossover, which later acquired the name "S-Crosseur". Initially, it was designed on the platform of two equally well-known SUVs: Peugeot 4007 and Mitsubishi Outlander XL. Despite the fact that the novelty has a common frame design, externally and internally it does not look like a copy of these two jeeps. So, let's figure out what the new crossovers Citroën S-Crosser turned out to be.

Design

The exterior of the car was "fitted" to the general format of the French brand. Ahead are traced large body parts, namely headlights of unusual shape, fog lights with chrome overlays, 2 large chevrons and a wide bumper with a massive air intake, which gives the front part of the crossover a form of aggressive jaws. In the profile of the new "Citroen" crossover still has some similarity with the Japanese SUV, but to say that this is a copy, you can not. In general, it should be noted that the French designers managed to disguise the Japanese features of the Mitsubishi Mitsubishi Outlander XL, and quite successfully.

Specifications

The French Citroen crossover will be manned by two types of engines: petrol and diesel. As for the first option, it has a capacity of 170 horsepower and a working capacity of 2.4 liters. It is equipped with two transmissions: it can be either a stepless variator with 6 virtual speeds, and a five-speed manual gearbox.

The second engine has more modest technical characteristics, namely the power of 160 horsepower and the working volume of 2.2 liters. The diesel Citroen crossover is paired with the same transmissions as the gasoline engine.

Economical and dynamic characteristics

It is worth noting that the new SUV model has a quite acceptable indicator of fuel consumption against the background of other cars of its class. When driving on a highway, the novelty spends about 7.5 liters per 100 kilometers of run. In the city, this indicator increases to a mark of 12.6 liters. In mixed mode, the car spends about 9 liters per "hundred". Up to 100 kilometers per hour "Citroen" crossover accelerates in 10.5 seconds. The maximum speed is about 200 kilometers per hour.

disadvantages

Unfortunately, the new Citroen crossover has one drawback, which lies in the frequency of maintenance. If the owner of the Mitsubishi Mitsubishi Outlander XL can perform maintenance at a frequency of 15,000 kilometers, the owner of the Frenchman will do this every 10,000 kilometers. However, the reliability and longevity of the engine is not affected.

Cost

The minimum price for a new Citroën crossover 2013 is about 960 thousand rubles. The most expensive complete set of "Exclusive" with a diesel engine costs 1 million 142 thousand rubles. Given this pricing policy, it can be said with certainty that the S-Crosseur is an excellent alternative to the Japanese co-platform Mitsubishi Exlender XL.
