Description of the park

In April 2007, it was decided to create a natural park on the territory of the Sysert leshoz, under which 40,000 hectares were allocated. These measures were necessary in order to preserve the existing natural complexes and organize cognitive-ecological tourism here.

The natural park "Bazhovskie Places" is predominantly an elevated area, on which there are low mountains and hills. The territory occupies the valley of the Sysert River. For the most part the terrain is wooded. In the central part, rare plant species were recorded.

Name of the park

Pavel Bazhov is a well-known Ural writer, who, in fairy tales, passed on the history and beauty of his native land. In honor of this famous person, the territory was named "Bazhovskie Places". The natural park quickly became known by this name, since the House Museum was opened in Sysert, in which the factory worker Bazhov lived.

Protected area

"Bazhovsky places" refer to specially protected objects. The observance of proper nature management is monitored by the Natural Park Inspection. Employees conduct patrols on the ground, and try to identify and prevent violations. Under the special control is the animal world. Trained people tend to contribute to the increase in the species diversity of wild animals and their numbers.

The administration has launched extensive work on the development of flora and fauna, despite the fact that every year many tourists come to "Bazhovskie Places." The natural park is open for tourism, but here educational activities are conducted on the theme of ecology and conservation of natural complexes.

Animal world

The natural park "Bazhovskie Places" is amazing with a variety of animals. Among the representatives of predators, there live foxes, wolves, martens, brown bears and lynxes. Ungulate animals that are found in the park are roe deer, moose and wild boar. Also there is a lot of birds nesting. Often there are eagles, white-tailed eagle, oriole, eagle owl, waxwings, bullfinch, cuckoo, mallard and others. In local waters there are about 14 species of fish. This is a pike, a tin, perch, bream and others.

Attractions of the park

In addition to the diversity of local flora and fauna, the natural park "Bazhovskie Places" is rich in objects of culture, history and nature. Here are some of them:

• Mount Azov (588 m). It is interesting that Bazhov often recalled it in his tales. In the autumn of 1940, cult objects of bronze and copper were found under a thin soil cover. After a while, several idols were found on the mountain. These values were dated to the IV-II centuries. BC. E. The finds were sent to the Polevskoy and Yekaterinburg museums.
