Monophosphate potassium: application, recommendations, fertilizer benefits
Scope of application of phosphate-potassium fertilizer
The undeniable advantage of fertilizer is that all the nutrients that make up its composition are perfectly absorbed by the plants. Monophosphate potassium, the use of which has a good effect on the quality of fruits and vegetables, significantly increases yield. Vitamins and sugar are better accumulated in fruits, hence, their sugar content and resistance to many ailments and fungal lesions increase. Both amateur gardeners and owners of industrial farms widely use potassium monophosphate. Its application is effective also for top dressing of flower crops, which will quickly start to please gardeners with bright buds. If it is necessary to accelerate the growth of shoots of trees or shrubs, then the fertilizer under consideration will serve as an excellent help.
Monophosphate potassium: application and recommendations
If it is supposed to apply the fertilizer together with water, then a usual solution should be prepared, the concentration of which does not exceed 0.05-0.15%. For floral and vegetable crops, the approximate expenditure of the agent is from 5 to 10 liters per square meter, and for bushes or trees - about 10-20 liters. The solution for foliar replenishment may have a concentration of 0.1-0.2%. If this fertilizer is combined with nitrogen compounds, the development and growth of the root system is improved. However, it should be remembered that in no case can it be combined with substances having in its composition calcium or magnesium.
Composition and advantages of fertilizer
Potassium monophosphate, the price of which is fully acceptable and is approximately 80 rubles per kilogram, includes 33% of potassium and more than 50% of total phosphates. Monoculars (this is how it is called in the common people) is one of the purest compounds. It is completely free of sodium, chlorine salts and other heavy metals. Even if high concentrations of solution were used in the spraying of crops, the risk that the leaves will curl or get burns is minimal. The thing is that this fertilizer has a low electrical conductivity. A stable factor Ph increases the effectiveness of the pesticide.
What else should I know?
When working with fertilizer, rubber gloves must be used to prevent contact of the solution with the skin. After the procedure, hands and face should be thoroughly washed with soap. If in the process accidental ingestion of the substance occurred, drink 2-3 glasses of clean water, then induce vomiting. Keep fertilizer in well-ventilated areas, away from drugs, food and animal feed.
