Ministry of Emergency Situations Voronezh Institute: history, basic information

History

The Voronezh Fire Institute of the Emergencies Ministry opened its doors in 1967. But then this institution was called the training detachment of fire fighting activities. The following year, two groups of students were recruited. In one of them, inspectors and instructors were trained to prevent fires, and in the other, commanders.
A few years later, two new buildings were built near the unit, the groups were transferred to them. Now the institution has received the name "School of preparation of the chief commander of junior and middle level". After 10 years, the School was renamed into the Training Center. In 1993, a school was established on the basis of the center, and in 2008 the institution acquired the status of a high school of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The Voronezh Institute immediately gained popularity.

Basic information

The Institute conducts training in 3 main directions:

• "Safety of fire systems". At the end of five years of study in the institution the student receives the title of "specialist". Training is conducted in full-time.
• "Safety of fire systems". At the end of the six-year training in the institution, the student receives the title of "specialist". Training is conducted in full-time.
• "Fire safety" - is assigned the qualification category "technician". Students master this qualification after the termination of 11 classes of high school, the category is appropriated after the lapse of 3 years 10 months.

Training takes place in a targeted direction, funds are allocated from the state budget.

But the government also allows students to be trained under a treaty in the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Voronezh Institute is no exception. In this case, the training is conducted in 4 directions:

• "Safety of fire systems". At the end of five years of study in the institution the student receives the title of "specialist". Training is conducted in full-time.
• "Technospheric security" is a four-year bachelor's degree with full-time education.
• "Safety of fire systems". At the end of the six-year training in the institution, the student receives the title of "specialist". Training is conducted in absentia.
• "Fire safety" - is assigned the qualification "technician" after 3 years 10 months from the moment of the beginning of training.

Also the magistracy of the Ministry of Emergency is very much appreciated. Voronezh Institute provides this type of training, although so far there is only one direction:

• "Technosphere security." After graduating from the Bachelor's program, students can apply for a master's program for two-year education by correspondence.

Information for applicants

In order to be trained in this institution, you must successfully pass the USE in 3 subjects: profile mathematics, physics and the Russian language. Also, when submitting documents, the entrance exam in mathematics is additionally written and physical culture tests are conducted.

It is also necessary to contact the local Emergency Management Department in advance in order to issue a personal file, which the administration must send to the EMERCOM of Russia (Voronezh Institute in this case) until a certain period.

The hostel is provided only for students studying on a budgetary basis, for other categories it is not provided. The exception is extramural students who study on a budgetary basis, at the time of the session.

Institutional life

• The institute has a permanent team of KVN, participating and winning in various competitions and leagues. The most cheerful and resourceful will be able to join the ranks of the old-timer.
• Also, special attention is paid to sports, the institute has its own teams that occupy places on competitions of federal scale. Students who take part in sections and conduct active institutional life, enjoy the authority among teachers.
• The Institute constantly hosts a variety of cultural events.
• Active work is led by the Trade Union.
