The drug "Atoris" is produced in the form of tablets, which are covered with a film membrane, color - white, biconcave, with a dosage of the active substance 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg. It is released by prescription.

Patients are assigned "Atoris" in the following cases:

- with hyperlipidemia: to reduce serum levels of total cholesterol, cholesterol-LDL, triglycerides in primary hyperlipidemia, apolipoprotein B, familial heterozygous hypercholesterolemia, mixed hyperlipidemia;

- to reduce the elevated level of total cholesterol-LDL, cholesterol, and apolipoprotein B in people with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia;

- for primary prevention of cardiovascular complications without clinical signs of IHD in patients at risk: older than 53 years, nicotine dependence, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, genetic predisposition, low concentration of cholesterol - LDL in blood plasma,

- for the secondary prevention of cardiovascular complications in IHD, to reduce mortality, stroke risk, myocardial infarction, exclude hospitalization due to angina and the need for revascularization.

Dosage of the drug "Atoris" (instruction)

Before you start taking this medication, the patient should go on a diet that will reduce the level of lipids in the blood. It will need to be observed throughout the entire drug intake. Tablets "Atoris" is consumed inside regardless of food intake.

The drug is dosed from 10 mg to 80 mg once a day. The dosage is determined based on the initial concentration of cholesterol-LDL, the goals of therapy and the expected therapeutic effect.

The drug should be taken once a day, at the same time. The effect of taking is achieved after two weeks, and the maximum concentration is achieved after four weeks. Therefore, the dosage of the drug is changed only after this time.

At the beginning of treatment or with an increase in the dose of the drug, it is necessary to monitor the concentration of lipids in the blood plasma. If necessary, adjust the dose of the drug.

With mixed hyperlipidemia and primary hypercholesterolemia, the dosage of the drug is prescribed with 10 mg per day. The maximum is 80 mg.

In heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, children over 12 years of age receive 10 mg per day. The dose increases individually, but not more than 20 mg.

With homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia: begin with 10 mg. But the effect is often achieved with a dosage of 80 mg.

Contraindications to taking the drug "Atoris" (instruction)

- liver disease, including cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis, liver failure;

- Children under 18 years of age (no studies have been conducted on the influence of the child's organism);

- pregnancy and lactation;

- Patients with alcohol dependence are appointed with caution because of the activity of hepatic enzymes;

- sensitivity to the drug.

Side effects of the drug "Atoris"

They are temporary and do not cause special harm to health:

- Insomnia, headaches, dizziness;

- diarrhea, nausea, constipation, abdominal pain, flatulence;

- allergic reactions;

- Muscle weakness, convulsions;

- asthenia;

- rare cases of hepatitis, cholestasis, impotence, anorexia.
